Overview

This notification type allows users to stay informed when specific stops on a transport route have been successfully visited. It is designed to provide real-time updates for both pickup and delivery events, ensuring all stakeholders have clear visibility into the progress of goods.

Key Features

  • Automatic Updates: Notifications are triggered as soon as a vehicle departs from a pickup stop or arrives at a delivery stop.

  • Multi-Channel Support: Available via both Email and SMS.

  • Stakeholder Specific: Templates vary depending on whether the notification recipient is defined as a transport or the stop level contact.

How to Set Up

  1. Head to Notification Rules and choose: When goods have been picked up or delivered.

  2. Decide if you want alerts for just the pickup, just the delivery, or the full journey.

  3. Use Custom Filters to limit alerts to specific lanes, tracking statuses, or carriers.

  4. Define the recipients:

    1. Transport-level: Add specific email addresses that is allowed to see all transport details.

    2. Stop-level: Check the boxes to automatically notify the stop contacts defined in your transport. They will only see details of stops they are assigned to.

  5. Select your preferred language to ensure the right message reaches the right person.

Notification Content Templates

Note: Some templates include a direct link to the tracking details, but we’ve added a layer of Smart Visibility to ensure people only see what they need to:

  • Transport-Level Contacts: Get the "Big Picture." These links provide a full view of the entire transport journey and all associated stops.

  • Stop-Level Contacts: Get "Need-to-Know" access. To keep things secure and relevant, these links show details only for the specific stop they are managing.

Pickup Events (Goods in Transit)

🚚When the wheels start turning, everyone knows.

When a pickup stop is completed, the system sends a notification to indicate that the goods are now in transit.

  • Subject: Goods in transit for [Order/PO/Transport Number]

  • Content: "The goods for transport [transport_number] assigned to carrier [carrier_name] have been picked up and are now in transit. The associated pickup stop is listed below."

  • Included Details: Stop name, address, departure timestamp, and associated order/PO numbers.

SMS Template

  • Example: "Transporeon Visibility: Goods in transit for order 98-778379. To unsubscribe, reply with STOP."

Delivery Events (Goods Delivered)

✅ Confirm the final mile without lifting a finger

When a delivery stop is completed, the system notifies relevant parties that the transport has arrived at its destination.

  • Subject: Goods delivered for [Order/PO/Transport Number]

  • Content: "The goods for transport [transport_number] assigned to carrier [carrier_name] have been delivered. The associated delivery stop is listed below."
