Auto-allocation
Auto-allocation feature is responsible for automatic vehicle assignment for transports. Transporeon Visibility Hub can automatically allocate a vehicle to a transport if our system detects a high-confidence match between a truck's behavior and the transport plan. This ensures you still receive tracking updates and ETAs even if a manual allocation was missed.
How it works
When an integrated vehicle's movements (such as its stop and break locations) closely match the scheduled locations and timeslots of an unallocated transport, our system can automatically assign that vehicle to the transport.
Fallback priority: This feature only applies if no other allocation exists for the transport.
Manual override: Any subsequent manual allocation will immediately override an auto-allocation, ensuring you always have full control.
Visibility level: Limited Visibility
To protect your data and privacy, auto-allocated transports are restricted to Limited Visibility:
ETA calculated
Transport status updates shared
Truck position NOT displayed
When a transport is auto-allocated, a warning is displayed on the transport detail view so you know exactly why the position is hidden:
Managing automatic allocation
Auto-allocation can be enabled or disabled in your Visibility settings page.
If you prefer that the system does not automatically allocate vehicles from your fleet to transports, you can easily disable this feature at any time.
To change auto-allocation settings:
Go to your Visibility settings.
Locate the Disable automatic allocation option.
Toggle the setting to disable the feature for your integrated vehicles.
Approving auto-allocation
If the transport was auto-allocated with Limited Visibility (ETA and status updates only, vehicle position not shared), the asset owner can Approve allocation to turn it into a regular allocation with vehicle position also exposed. Approval is available from the transport details view and from the allocation dialog.
