The When tracking warnings occur notification helps you monitor road transports with selected tracking warnings.
Use this rule to make potential tracking, ETA, status, or data quality issues visible to the teams that can investigate or take action.
You can find a detailed breakdown of our tracking cancellation reasons in these articles: Warnings
When to use this notification
Use this notification when you want to:
be informed about selected tracking warnings;
monitor transports where ETA or status information may be affected;
spot data quality issues such as missing timeslots, missing geocoding, or missing telemetry;
focus on warning types that require operational follow-up.
Available for
This notification type is available for Road transports. It can be created across multiple transports from the Notification rules section, or for a specific road transport from the transport detail view.
How the trigger works
You select one or more warning types. The notification is sent when a matching road transport has one of the selected warnings.
Examples of warning areas include:
stale or missing vehicle status;
pending tractor switch;
stops out of sequence;
possible wrong vehicle;
missing stop geocoding or timeslot;
vehicle not integrated;
telemetry missing at stop;
ETA or status limitations.
For notification rules across multiple transports, the rule applies to working road transports and can be narrowed down with additional custom filters.
Recipients
You can add transport-level recipients by email or SMS. For each recipient, you can select the notification language.
Stop-level recipients are not available for this notification type.
How to set it up
Open Notification rules from the side menu.
Select Add notification rule.
Choose Road as the transport mode.
Select When tracking warnings occur as the notification type.
Choose one or more warning types.
Add optional custom filters, for example carrier, customer, site, user, or stops.
Add one or more recipients.
Add a rule name.
Save the rule.
Example
A visibility operations team wants to monitor transports where vehicle or stop data may reduce tracking quality.
They create a notification rule with:
notification type: When tracking warnings occur;
warning types: possible wrong vehicle and missing stop geocoding;
optional filter: selected carrier;
recipient: visibility operations team email address.
When one of the selected warnings occurs on a matching transport, the team receives a notification and can investigate.
Good to know
Choose warning types that require action. Selecting too many warnings may create noise for recipients.
Some warnings indicate data quality or setup issues rather than an immediate transport exception. Use the rule name and recipients accordingly.
