This article explains how to install and use the Skema plug-in for Rhino

Accessing the Skema plug-in for Rhino
Open Rhino and type in the command bar PackageManager. In the PackageManager search for Skema in the search bar. (It may be necessary to check the "Include pre-releases" checkbox while the Skema Package is being released)
Click the install button to download the plugin.
Installing the Skema Plug-In in Rhino
Open Rhino and type in the command bar PluginManager
Select the 'Install' button.
Skema.RhinoPlugin.rhp : Select the plug-in file to be loaded and enabled into Rhino
Restart you Rhino instance. Open the application and check your plugin manager again. Skema should be loaded and enabled.
Connecting between Skema and Rhino
Connecting in Rhino
Type in "Skema Command" into the Rhino command bar. If the panel is hidden, select "Show" in the command bar.
In the pop-up window, sign into your Skema account and select the Connect button.
The text in the pop-up will let you know when you have connected to your Skema account.
Connecting in Skema
Open your project, or create a new project in Skema. Select the plug-ins icon in the tool bar, select Rhino, and you will see your connected Rhino account.
Select your connected account to create the connection between Skema and Rhino.
From here you will be able to send and receive information between Skema and Rhino.
Sending From Skema to Rhino
Once you have connected your Rhino account to Skema you will be able to send and receive information between the two programs.
To send information from Skema to Rhino, select the send tab and check the elements you want to be sent.
Your terrain will transfer as an editable mesh into Rhino. Switch to Rendered view to see the map underlay
Go back to Skema and select the Surrounding Buildings box and hit send.
The surrounding buildings will generate is Rhino on the site as closed meshes.
To transfer your selected object, select the desired category and click the button to transfer.
Receiving in Skema from Rhino
Go to your Rhino plugin window in Skema and switch from the Send tab to Receive.
You have the option to send a Construction site, Building, terrain, and a Generic Mesh from Rhino to Skema.
Construction Site
A construction site can be created in Rhino using a polyline.
To send the construction site to Skema, navigate to your plugin in Skema. In the drop down menu select construction site and hit the Receive button.
The construction site will then generate in Skema.
You will be able to select and edit the site in Skema once it is transferred.
Building
You can bring in a massing from Rhino into Skema as a building as well. The massing needs to be grouped together as a BLOCK in Rhino. It can be a block of any number of closed poly surfaces or meshes.
To bring into Skema, select the BLOCK in Rhino, navigate to Skema in the Rhino plugin window. In the drop down menu select Building and hit the Receive button.
Here are some examples of building and grouping types you can bring into Skema and what their output will look like.
Building from polysurfaces
A block containing a set of polysurfaces and another block (which is a set of polysurfaces in of itself.
In the output in Skema, all polysurfaces are recognized as individual blocks. The internal group is recognized as a block with its floors.
Building from a set of polysurfaces
A block containing a set of polysurfaces.
Each individual polysurface is recognized as a block in Skema.
Building from meshes
A block containing a set of floors represented as meshes.
Each mesh is recognized as an individual block in Skema
Building from a set of meshes
A building containing multiple blocks that consist of a set of meshes.
The Skema output is a building with multiple blocks and the set meshes represented as floors.
Terrain
You not only have the ability to send a terrain from Skema to Rhino, but you can make edits to the terrain in Rhino-cut and fill, any other additions-and send it back to Skema.
To do this simply select the terrain mesh in Rhino, then navigate to the Skema Rhino plug in window. Change the dropdown selection to Terrain and hit the Receive button, and the new, edited terrain will be transferred.
Generic Mesh
You can also transfer a generic mesh from Rhino to Skema. This can be any mesh that is not a part of the building that you want to be included in the Skema site or project.
It is important to note, generic meshes can only be moved in Skema-no major edits can be made to them once they are transferred.
To transfer them, simply navigate to the Rhino plugin window in Skema. change the selectin to generic mesh and hit the Receive button.
You can transfer multiple Generic Meshes in the same project.
