Summary
This section describes, in brief, the generation of a basement on a site with sloping conditions, and editing building elevation.
This KB Article includes the following:
Generated Basement
When you create a massing, a basement can be created below that mass. The basement will fill in from the bottom elevation of the mass to the surface of the site. If the site is sloped, the bottom of the basement will match that slope.
If you select a block of the massing, you can toggle the basement on and off by clicking the 'Basement available' box.
The basement itself is not an editable aspect of the building, but it is considered part of the building.
Elevation
The baseline elevation (elevation 0) is the Z-axis location of the project grid. To alter this, select the project grid and change the z position.
To change the elevation of a building or block, select the BLOCK and changing the elevation input found on the right side of the screen. You can either put in an exact elevation or gradually increase/decrease the elevation with the arrows next to the metric.
The value of the elevation is based on the plane defined by the grid. So if the grid is set to 23.5' above sea-level, the block's will be plus or minus (+/-) the entered value from the grid plane, and the basement will start at that elevation and fill to the top of the site.
