Important: bulk editing works for one family at a time Bulk edit is only available when all selected products belong to the same family. This is because each family has its own set of shared attributes.
Selecting multiple items for bulk actions
From the Items list, use the checkboxes to select the products you want to update.
Once selected:
The number of selected items appears
The Bulk Actions menu becomes available
You can choose Bulk Review or Save as bulk project
For bulk review to start successfully, all selected items must be from the same family.
Starting a bulk review
Choose Bulk Actions → Bulk Review to open the combined view.
In Bulk Review you can:
Check the same attributes across multiple items
See which products are missing required values
Navigate through each item in a streamlined workflow
Bulk Review is ideal when data recipient requests the same data across a set of similar products.
Saving a bulk project
You may save selected items to a project by choosing:
Bulk Actions → Save as bulk project
You will see a confirmation message:
Do you want to save as Bulk project?
Select Yes to create the project and give it a name.
Bulk Projects help you:
Organise related updates
Keep track of progress across a defined group
Come back to the work later without losing your selection
Working inside a bulk project
When you open a bulk project, you will see a table showing all the items included.
This table allows you to work much faster by updating information directly in the grid without opening each item individually.
In this view you can see:
SKU
Name
ERP Description
Supplier
Status
Any fields Bowens has asked you to complete
Editing data directly in the grid
You can click into any editable cell and type your updates straight into the table.
This allows you to work across multiple items at speed, without needing to open each record.
Opening an individual item
If you prefer to update a product in its full editor view:
Click the three dots (Actions)
Choose View details to preview information
Choose Go to item to open the full item page
This is useful when a product requires more detailed input than can fit comfortably inside the bulk table.
Filtering fields inside a bulk project
Inside the bulk project view, you can filter the fields that appear in the table using the field filter panel, which allows you to control:
Channels (if data recipient uses multiple content channels)
Groups (sections of related fields)
Attribute type (Mandatory, Optional, or Both)
This helps you reduce visual clutter and focus only on the fields you need to work on.
Column controls
Each column in the bulk project table has its own menu, allowing you to customise the table layout.
You can:
Pin – Keep the column fixed on the left while you scroll
Hide – Remove the column from the table (you can add it back later)
Sort by – Sort the table by the selected column
These controls make it easier to work efficiently when you have many fields visible.
Tips for working efficiently in the bulk view
Pin key columns such as SKU or Supplier Reference Code so they remain visible while scrolling horizontally
Hide any columns you do not need to update
Filter by Mandatory fields to focus only on what the data recipient requires
Use the Groups filter to show or hide specific sections of data
Use the Sort option to bring incomplete or blank rows to the top
