You do not create products

Suppliers do not create items in SKULaunch. Your data recipient creates the product records and assigns them to you when they need information or updates. Your job is to complete or update the data on the items you receive.

Data recipient assigns items to you

Whenever your data recipient needs data for a new range or wants updated information for an existing item, those products will appear in your workspace. You will only ever see products that the recipient has shared with your company.

Tip: You will only ever see items linked to your supplier account, keeping your workspace clean and focused.

Required attributes

Each product has required attributes that must be completed before you can submit. These appear clearly in the product view and in the bulk edit view.If anything is missing, SKULaunch will show a validation message so you know exactly what needs to be filled in.

Status flow

Every item moves through a simple lifecycle so you always know what needs your attention.

  • Requested
Bowens has assigned this item to you and is waiting for information.

  • Submitted
You have provided the data for a new item request. Data recipient will now review it.

  • Update requested
Data recipient needs a correction or extra detail. Review the comments, make the changes, and resubmit.

  • Update submitted
You have updated an existing item and sent it back for review.

  • Approved
Data recipient has reviewed and accepted the data. Nothing further is required.

  • Rejected
Data recipient has reviewed the data and determined that it cannot be accepted.
You will see comments explaining what needs to be changed or why the information was not suitable.
After addressing the feedback, you can resubmit the item.

Commenting and collaboration

The data recipient may leave comments on items asking for clarification or additional details.
You can respond directly in the comment thread, keeping all communication linked to the specific item. This avoids email chains and makes it clear what changes are needed.

Notifications: email and in system

Whenever the data recipient assigns items to you or requests an update, SKULaunch alerts you in two ways:

In system notifications

Alerts appear in the bell icon inside SKULaunch.
You will see a notification for:

  • New product requests

  • Update requests

  • Rejections

  • Comments or replies

  • Changes to assigned items

Email notifications

You also receive an email for every important action, including:

  • Items assigned to you

  • Update requested

  • Comments or replies

  • Approved

  • Rejected

  • Product returned for rework

This ensures you never miss an update, even when you aren’t logged in.
