Once products have been enriched and approved in SKULaunch, they can be published back to Akeneo using the PIM Publish flow.

Before you publish

Make sure the following are in place:

The Akeneo connector is configured and working
Products are approved or ready to publish
Required identifiers such as product code or SKU are populated

Attributes are complete enough to meet your Akeneo validation rules

If a product is missing mandatory data, it will fail during publish and be flagged in the results.

Step 1: Start a PIM Publish to Akeneo

From the left hand navigation, go to PIM Publish and choose Akeneo as the target PIM.

You can start a publish in two ways:

From a list of items using bulk actions
From an individual item using Actions β†’ Publish to PIM

Both routes take you into the same publish workflow.

Step 2: Select input and output locale

Choose the input locale that contains the data you want to publish, for example en_GB.

If required, select an output locale. This is useful when publishing translated or transformed content back into Akeneo.

If you only work in one locale, you can leave the output locale empty.

Step 3: Select the Akeneo channel

Choose the Akeneo channel the data should be published to, such as ecommerce or Magento Ecommerce.

Only attributes that are available in that channel will be sent. This prevents accidental publishing of data that should not appear in that context.

Step 4: Map SKULaunch fields to Akeneo attributes

In the Attributes Mapping step, map SKULaunch fields to their corresponding Akeneo attributes.

Unmapped fields will not be published. Required attributes must be mapped before you can continue.

If you have published similar products before, you can load a saved mapping template to speed things up.

Normalisation warnings indicate values that may not match Akeneo option lists or formats and should be reviewed before publishing.

Step 5: Preview items before publishing

The preview step shows exactly what will be sent to Akeneo.

You can review product names, descriptions, identifiers and key attributes to confirm everything looks correct. This is your last chance to catch issues before data is pushed into Akeneo.

If something looks wrong, go back and adjust the mapping or product data.

Step 6: Publish to Akeneo

When ready, select Start Publish.

SKULaunch will push the mapped data to Akeneo using the configured connector.

Large publishes may take a few minutes depending on the number of products and attributes.

Step 7: Review published results

Once complete, you will see the Published Results screen.
