Connection Instructions
Merchant has to be on Sky Paymentz and has the iOS app that supports Chipper.
Power on the Chipper via Power Button. The light above the Power button should be blue. Tap once to connect if the device is powered on.
The Chipper connects directly to our iOS application by selecting "Connect to Chipper" on the checkout screen. Once connected it will remain connected until it either times out or gets turned off manually.
Depending on your gateway you may be prompted to input a PIN to connect. If so this is located on the back of your Chipper.
The name of the Chipper should begin with “CHB20”. TAP on the Chipper with the correct serial # and it will have a green bar across the screen. If so, it is connected properly. If multiple chippers are in the area, please confirm the serial number on the back of the device.

Light Status (Above Power Button) | State of Device |
None | Chipper is off. |
Flashing BLUE | The reader is on and ready to connect. |
Multicolored Flashing | The reader has been discovered/ready to connect. |
Steady BLUE | The reader is connected to a device. |
Flashing BLUE every 5 seconds | Reader is in standby mode |
Alternating RED & MAGENTA | Reader is charging. |
Flashing RED | Device battery is low. |
