Creating/Adding an Item

From the Web Dashboard

  1. Log into your Sky Systemz dashboard:

  2. Navigate to the sub-menu '(Ξ)', in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Click ‘Products/Services’ in the menu on the left side of the screen.

  4. Click ‘Items’

  5. In the the top right corner click ‘Add New’

  6. You need to fill out the product information on this screen



a. ‘Name’ - Name of the item

b. ‘SKU/Product ID’ - You may assign a custom code to your product for inventory purposes.

c. ‘Sales Price’ - How much the product is going to sell for.

d. 'Brands' - For tracking Brand sales within a Category.

e. ‘Category’ - If you do not select a category, the item will appear in the ‘Uncategorized’ option on the terminal screen.

f. 'Inventory Quantity' - If tracking inventory, input the amount currently in stock. This will automatically update upon a sale of the item.

g1, g2. ‘Attribute/Variable Search’ - You may use this search bar to search for a particular attribute or variable you want to add to an item. (This will only work if ‘Item Attributes and Variables’ is toggled on in the ‘POS Settings’)

h. ‘Attributes’ - Select attributes for a particular item (Not Required. This will only work if ‘Item Attributes and Variables’ is toggled on in the ‘POS Settings’)

i. ‘Variables’ - Select Variables for a particular item (Not Required. This will only work if ‘Item Attributes and Variables’ is toggled on in the ‘POS Settings’)

j. ’Tax’ - Select the appropriate tax amount for an item if needed. (Not required)

k. ‘Discounts’ - This will apply a discount percentage to the specified item every time at checkout. (Not required)

L. ‘Surcharge’ - This will apply a surcharge amount to the specified item every time at checkout. (Not required)

m. ‘Description’ - Enter a description of the item (Not Required. This description only shows on the e-store.)

n. ‘Barcode’ - The barcode on the item. This can be used for inventory scanning and scanning an item at checkout.

m. ‘Store Product Heading’ - This is an item specific tag line (i.e, 10% off this week) (Not required)

n. ‘Weight’ - The weight of the item (Not Required)

o. ‘Multiple Booking Type’ - If you are inputting a service that requires booking. This is where you will select the available dates and times, which are created and managed under (Not required)

p. ‘Choose Files’ - Upload a picture of the item. (Not required)

  1. Click ‘Submit’ - The item will appear in your items list.

When you add items from the Web Dashboard, make sure you sync your 'item suite' from your application on your mobile device. The items will not be available in the application unless you synchronize your 'Item Suite'.

Adding Items from Mobile Devices (iOS/Android)

For iOS

  1. Navigate to the sub-menu '(Ξ)', in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Select ‘Manage Products’

  3. In the top right corner of the screen select ‘Create Item’

  4. You need to fill out the product information on this screen

a. ‘Name’ - Name of the item

b. ‘Barcode’ - The barcode on the item. This can be used for inventory scanning and scanning an item at checkout. (Not required)

c. ‘SKU/Product ID’ - You may assign a custom code to your product for inventory purposes. (Not required)

d. ‘Sales Price’ - How much the product is going to sell for.

e. ‘Category’ - If you do not select a category, the item will appear in the ‘Uncategorized’ option on the terminal screen.

f. ’Tax’ - Select the appropriate tax amount for an item if needed. (Not required)

g. ‘Discounts’ - This will apply a discount percentage to the specified item every time at checkout. (Not required)

h. ‘Description’ - Enter a description of the item (Not Required. This description only shows on the e-store.) (Not required)

i. ‘Upload Image’ - Upload a picture of the item (Not required)

j. ‘Inventory’ - Enter the amount of inventory you have for the item (Not Required)

5. Click ‘Submit’ - The item will appear in your items list.

Items added from the application will appear in your products list in the Web Dashboard also.

For Android Application

  1. Navigate to the sub-menu '(Ξ)', in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Select ‘Retail Terminal’

  3. In the top middle of the screen select ‘Create Item’

  4. You need to fill out the product information on this screen

a. ‘Item Name’ - Name of the item

b. ‘Price’ - How much the product is going to sell for.

c. ‘Barcode’ - The barcode on the item. This can be used for inventory scanning and scanning an item at checkout. (Not required)

d. ‘Tax’ - Select the appropriate tax amount for an item if needed. (Not required)

e. ‘Category’ - If you do not select a category, the item will appear in the ‘Uncategorized’ option on the terminal screen.

f. ‘Product Image’ - Upload a picture of the item (Not required)

5. Click ‘Save' - The item will then appear in the ‘Category’ you selected.

Items added from the application will appear in your products list in the Web Dashboard also.
