Marking any item as inactive will not permanently delete your photo but it will not display the photo to potential clients. For example, if you have changed your hairstyle or shaved your beard and your picture doesn't accurately reflect your current look but you do not want to delete the photo, you can mark it "inactive". This way if you ever go back to the look, you can quickly mark the photo active again.
