Introduction

Review how to add a shift for an employee in SkyTab Workforce.

Navigation

While signed into Lighthouse Business Manager, begin by navigating to Workforce > Scheduler.

Note: To complete this task, you will need Lighthouse Business Manager credentials; you must be assigned as a manager in the department you are editing; and you must have the Manage Schedules permission in SkyTab Workforce.

Select the Date for the New Shift

Locate the employee you are adding the shift to and click on the date for the shift you want to add.

Note: If you manage more than one department, you will need to select the department in the upper left corner of the scheduler before proceeding.

Enter Shift Information

On the Create Shift screen, you will need to enter the following:

  • The shift Starts and Ends time, along with any breaks

  • The Job the employee will be performing

  • The Section the employee will be working in (as applicable)

  • Any Notes on the shift (as needed)

When you are finished, press Create Shift.

Publish shift and notify employee

Although the shift has been created, it is not yet 'live' and the employee has not yet been notified of it.

You can continue to make other modifications to the schedule as needed. When you are ready to publish the schedule (i.e. make the shifts live) and notify the employee/s of their new shifts, click the Publish button in the top right corner of the Scheduler.

If needed, adjust the date range of the schedule and add manager notes.

Select Publish & Notify. The shift will be added to the Scheduler and the employee will be notified of the new shift.
