Why Restrict Projects?
Managing account permissions can get complicated as your organization grows. Different users often need different levels of access to your SkyWatch HUB account. For example:
Contractors who need to view and download orders on their own schedule, but only for their assigned work
External clients or partners who need visibility into deliverables for their specific project, without seeing internal or unrelated work
Cross-team collaborators — for example, a marketing team member who only needs access to one project's assets, not the full organization's data
Multi-department organizations, where different departments manage separate projects and shouldn't have visibility into each other's data for confidentiality or compliance reasons
Agencies managing multiple end-clients, who need to keep each client's projects siloed from one another
Restricted Projects gives SuperAdmins the flexibility to grant access selectively, without exposing unrelated projects to users who don't need them.
SkyWatch Restricted Projects solves this by preventing users who have not been added to a project from ordering against, viewing, or downloading its data.
Note: Only users with the SuperAdmin role can mark a project as restricted or manage its user list.
How Does It Work?
SuperAdmins can go to Organization → Project Table in HUB and select which projects they'd like to mark as restricted.
Before restricting a project, SuperAdmins should complete the following checks:
Confirm that all added users are ones you want to have access
Remove any users who should not have access
Once the user list is confirmed, the SuperAdmin can enable Restrict Project via the Edit Project and Payment option in the project row's Actions menu.
After saving, a lock icon will appear next to the project name, confirming that it is restricted.
