One of the advantages of the Data Management tab in SkyWatch HUB is the ability for a WMTS link to be generated for orders. This grants users the option to directly view imagery in GIS software without requiring the transfer of raster files.
In this article, we will use QGIS as the case example to open a WMTS link from HUB.
Generate WMTS Link on HUB
Steps to generate a WMTS link:
Log onto HUB and open Data Management.
Select the order in the table.
Open the orders Actions in the row.
Select "Copy WMTS Link".
Open WMTS Link on QGIS
1. Open a new QGIS project.
2. Select the WMS/WMTS tool option in the Browser window.
3. Right-click and select "New Connection".
4. Copy the WMTS link generated from HUB into the URL field. Add a name for your WMTS link that will appear on QGIS.
5. Click OK.
6. No message will appear to confirm it successfully was created. Open the WMS/WMTS drop-down to find your WMTS link name.
7. Open the link and right-click on the product. Select "Add Layer to Project".
8. The image will now load on the QGIS project.
