How Do I Create An Account on Content Store?
To create an account on Content Store, you need to log onto the application by either signing into your ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise account (Note: Trial and Developer account users require a SkyWatch Explore account to link for Content Store access).
For ArcGIS Enterprise account users, you will require to register the Content Store application.
Do I need an ESRI account to access Content Store?
Do I need an ESRI account to access Content Store?
You will need an ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise account to access Content Store. If you have a pre-existing SkyWatch EXPLORE/HUB account, you can link it to Content Store.
Do I need to create an EXPLORE account before accessing Content Store?
Do I need to create an EXPLORE account before accessing Content Store?
You do not need an EXPLORE account to access Content Store if you have an organizational ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise account.
How do I use the other SkyWatch applications if I created an account on Content Store?

You can use the email associated with your Content Store account to access other SkyWatch applications. To do this, go to the application you wish to access and select "Forgot password." Follow the instructions to reset your password and gain access.
For EXPLORE, go to the login page and select "Forgot password".

You cannot access Content Store account without an ESRI ArcGIS Online account.
Searching For Data
Can I add layers from my ArcGIS Online account?
Can I add layers from my ArcGIS Online account?
Yes, on Content Store, you have the option to upload layers from your ArcGIS Online account.
When you select "Add Layer," you can choose your layer source by clicking the drop-down menu.
Click on "My Content" to reveal the drop-down menu to view your "Add Layer" options.
No results returned from my search. What does this mean?
No results returned from my search. What does this mean?
If no results are returned from your search, it means that no data exists within the date range you have selected.
It is recommended to expand your date range and/or increase the size of your layer.
If no data is returned after making these adjustments, you will need to place a tasking order, which is only available on the following SkyWatch applications: ArcPro plug-in, EXPLORE, and HUB.
What are the size limitations for layers?
What are the size limitations for layers?
The minimum size for any layer is 1 km2.
The maximum size for a layer for high resolution imagery is 500 km2.
The maximum size for a layer for very-high resolution imagery is 150 km2.
I am receiving an "Invalid Polygon Geometry" error. What does this mean?
I am receiving an "Invalid Polygon Geometry" error. What does this mean?
The "invalid polygon geometry" error is caused by one of the following issues:
Multiple Holes or Interior Coordinates: If your layer contains multiple holes, doughnut shapes, or interior coordinates, searching and ordering will not be available. Please ensure that no holes or interior coordinates are present in your layer.
Self-Intersecting Polygon: Content Store does not accept self-intersecting polygons. Check your polygon to ensure it does not intersect itself.
Multi-Feature Polygon: Multi-feature polygons are not accepted on Content Store. Create or upload a new layer that is not saved as a multi-feature polygon.
Exceeding Vertex Limit: Layers with more than 500 vertices are not compatible with Content Store. Create a layer with fewer than 500 vertices, with a maximum of 200 vertices recommended.

You can search for data using the following options:
Upload a Layer: Go to "Add Layer" and select a layer from the drop-down menu. The available options are: "My Content," "My Groups," "My Organization," "ArcGIS Online," and "Living Atlas."
Upload a local file from your computer. If you are unsure which files are compatible, please refer to the "What files can I upload onto Content Store" FAQ above.
3. Create your own polygon using the "Draw" tool.
The draw tool will create a black polygon on the Content Store global map.
How do I sort my results?
How do I sort my results?
When your search is complete and all available products are returned, you have the option to sort the results based off the following parameters: Time (Image capture date & time), Total Price (cost of the image), Resolution (pixel resolution of the imagery ordered from highest to lowest), Price per km2 (ordered from highest $ per km2), and Cloud Coverage (highest to lowest cloud cover percentage).

No, tasking orders are not available on Content Store. To place tasking orders, you will need to log in to or create an account on EXPLORE or you can use our ArcPro Plug-in.
Can I order more than one image?

You can add multiple data products to your cart before purchasing. Each product will be delivered as a separate order, each with a unique order ID.
How long does it take for an order to complete?

The delivery time for a product depends on the size of the layer/polygon (in km²) and the product type.
High Resolution: Delivery time can range from 1 to 48 hours.
Very High Resolution: Delivery time can range from 24 to 72 hours.
Do I need a credit card to place an order?

A credit card is required to submit orders. If you do not have a credit card on file, Content Store will prompt you to add one before completing your order.

Content Store only offers a selection of high (0.5 - 1 m/pixel) and very high (0.1 - 0.49 m/pixel) resolution data products.

Pleiades-Neo (30 cm/pixel)
UrbanSky (10 cm/pixel)
If you require other products, we recommend accessing our EXPLORE and ArcPro Plug-in applications.
What image bands are delivered?
What image bands are delivered?
All orders placed through Content Store are set to the "All Optical Bands" output type. This output includes all image bands acquired by the satellite sensor.
For example, the Planet SkySat, which is a 4-band product, contains the RGB and near-infrared (NiR) bands.

To view your orders, go to the "Orders" tab located in the left column of the main page.
In the "Orders" tab, you will find all your pending and completed orders listed in the table at the bottom of the screen.
The table contains the following information: Order ID, Order Name, Order Status, Date Range, Source, Resolution, and Actions.

Where can I view the metadata and preview the imagery of my orders on Content Store?

To view the metadata for your order, go to the "Orders" tab and select the order you want to review.
Click the three dots icon (...) next to the order, and select "View Details."
In "View Details," a new window will appear summarizing all the order and product details.
Can I publish my data on my ArcGIS account?

Yes, Content Store allows you to publish data to your ArcGIS Online account. To do this, go to the order you wish to publish, click the three dots icon under Actions, and select "Publish."

How do I download data from Content Store onto my computer?
How do I download data from Content Store onto my computer?
To download data delivered to your account, select the order in your "Orders" tab.
Click on the three dots icon and select "Download".
The following window will appear, giving you four file options to download:
A PNG preview file of your ordered product (Preview).
A georeferenced COG Tif file (Analytics).
A metadata json file summarizing the details of your delivered data product (Meta Data Files).
A pam.xml metadata file compatible for ArcGIS Pro (Meta Data File).
