What happens if I want to cancel my flight?

The ability to receive a refund for your flight or not will depend on your flight’s fare rules

Updated over 3 weeks ago

All flight cancellations must be handled directly through your travel agent, as they manage your booking with the airline. Once your agent processes the cancellation, Your agent will contact us, and Slice Pay will manage any applicable refunds or outstanding payments on your instalment plan.

✈️ Refunds and Fare Rules

Whether or not you’re eligible for a refund depends entirely on your airline’s fare rules and your agent’s cancellation policies.
Slice Pay will always honour the cancellation fees and refund terms provided by the airline or end travel provider.

💰 Cancellations Within 24 Hours of Booking

  • If you cancel within 24 hours, Slice Pay will waive the Hold Price Fee.

  • Waiving airline or agent cancellation fees within this period depends on the fare rules set by the provider.

After 24 hours, the Hold Price Fee becomes non-refundable.

🧾 Refundable Flights

If your flight is refundable, you may be entitled to a refund - but cancellation fees may apply from:

  • The airline, and/or

  • The travel agent.

Important:

  • The Hold Price Fee is always non-refundable.

  • If the combined airline and agent fees are greater than what you’ve paid so far, no refund will be issued.

  • If the fees are less than what you’ve paid, you’ll receive a refund of the difference.
Please note that refunds may take time to process, depending on the airline.

🚫 Non-Refundable Flights

If your flight is non-refundable, no refund will be issued. However:

  • You will not be required to complete any remaining instalments on your plan.

  • Customers who cancel non-refundable bookings may be ineligible for future Slice Pay payment plans.

💡 Important Information: Discuss Your Options with Your Agent

If you’re considering cancelling, talk to your travel agent first.
In some cases, you may be eligible for an airline credit instead of a refund. This allows you to:

  • Retain your booking for future travel, and

  • Finalise your remaining instalments through Slice Pay.

Your agent can advise whether an airline credit is available based on the fare type and airline policy.
