What is Sling Money's Anti-Abuse & Harassment Policy?

This article describes Sling Money's policy on abuse and harassment.

Sling Money is committed to creating and maintaining a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for its community. We will not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment or harmful behavior on our platform.

You can send a photo and a message along with your transfer in Sling Money. Our Anti-Abuse & Harassment policy applies to the content contained in messages and photos sent on the platform.

The following guidelines outline behavior and activities that are not permitted on the platform, in any form: text, message, photo, image, or emoji:

  • Hate speech: that promotes violence or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or other protected characteristics.

  • Cyberbullying: that involves threats, harassment, or abusive behavior directed at individuals, whether known or unknown to you. Often, this persists over time and involves an imbalance of power.

  • Spamming: repeatedly sending the same message or irrelevant messages to an individual or group.

  • Doxxing: revealing personal, sensitive information such as addresses, social security numbers, phone numbers, email accounts, etc., with or without intention to intimidate or harm an individual.

  • Promotion of illegal activities: encouraging or endorsing unlawful behavior, such as substance misuse, theft, or hacking.

  • Sharing of intimate images: sharing explicit photos or images, with or without the consent of the people involved.

  • Encouragement of self-harm or suicide: promoting harmful behaviors towards oneself or others.

  • Predatory behavior: images or messages that aim to belittle or intimidate an individual or group, or that intend to exploit or take advantage of others, particularly minors or vulnerable individuals, i.e. grooming behavior.

Should you receive or come across content that is in violation of the information shared here, please report it to us through the in-app chat, or by emailing support@sling.money

You can find the in-app chat function by going to Settings > Support.

If you wish, you can block other users in the app by tapping on their profile picture and selecting 'Block'. The blocked individual will not be able to find you in the Sling Directory, or send you money, and they will not be notified of your action.
