"What can affect production & shipping?"

This is NOT fast fashion that's why we're slø

At Slø, we’re doing something completely different. Unlike traditional fashion brands that mass-produce thousands of jeans in standard sizes, we make each pair individually for you. This is a new way of manufacturing—a system we’re constantly improving and refining. Think of this as Beta testing for the future of fashion.

While we always aim to keep things running smoothly, there are a few factors that can sometimes affect production and shipping timelines.

1. The Nature of Made-to-Order

Every pair of Slø jeans is crafted from scratch, specifically for you. That means:

  • No pre-made inventory—we don’t pull jeans off a shelf.

  • No shortcuts—every pair is cut, sewn, washed, and finished just for you.

  • Precision takes time—we’re perfecting a process that’s never been done at this scale before.

Unlike mass production, where thousands of identical items are made at once, our approach means we customize and personalize every order, which naturally takes a little longer.

2. Demand & Production Flow

Because we’re building jeans one at a time instead of in bulk, our production flow depends on how many orders we’re currently processing. Sometimes, when demand spikes:

  • Orders take longer to enter production because we’re managing a queue of fully custom items.

  • Fabric & materials can take longer to source, since we’re not ordering in bulk from fast-fashion suppliers.

  • Each stage of production gets busier, meaning slight delays can happen.

But here’s the good news: as we refine our processes and scale up, our efficiency improves every day.

3. Supply Chain & Logistics

Our jeans are handcrafted in Istanbul, Turkey, and global supply chains can sometimes affect our materials or shipping speeds. Delays can happen due to:

  • Fabric sourcing issues – While we work with top-quality suppliers, unexpected shortages can occasionally occur.

  • Holiday slowdowns – In December, for example, businesses across Turkey (and globally) slow down, which can delay production.

  • Customs clearance – Every country has different import processes, and while we provide all necessary paperwork, delays can sometimes happen at the border.

We actively monitor all of these factors and adjust as needed to keep things moving as quickly as possible.

4. The Slø Standard: Quality First, Always

We could rush production, take shortcuts, and prioritize speed over quality—but that’s not what Slø is about.

Every pair of jeans goes through multiple quality checks before it leaves our workshop, ensuring:

  • The fit is precise – No weird proportions or off-sizing.

  • The finishing is flawless – Stitching, buttons, hems—everything is done right.

  • The wash & fabric meet our high standards – We test every pair to ensure durability and comfort.

We would rather take a little longer and get it right than rush something out the door that doesn’t meet our standards—or yours.

The Bottom Line: Good Things Take Time

Slø is a work in progress, and we’re constantly improving. This is more than just making jeans—it’s about building a new way to make clothing that’s more sustainable, more personal, and made to last.

So, if your jeans take a little longer than expected, know that they’re being made with care, precision, and attention to detail. This isn’t fast fashion—this is a revolution in how clothes are made.

And trust us: your perfect pair of jeans will be worth the wait.

If you ever have concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always here to help.
