Adding Images

So, my young padawan blogger, there are three options to insert picture into your article.

The first thing you need to do is click on the “+” sign on your screen and select the image icon. (Remember, you can access the toolbar by pressing “Enter” on your keyboard)

There, pick one of the three available options:

  • Upload from your device
  • Paste link to image
  • Select image from gallery

Regardless of which option you choose, you need to fill out the necessary information on the metadata screen.

Upload from device:

Locate and select the image from your device. If you want to modify the crop, go ahead and adjust the corners of your image and continue by clicking the “Crop” icon. Click “Next” to accept the image or hit the “Reset” button to start over.

The next screen will prompt you to enter a description (max. 160 chars), choose your image alignment, and insert the photographer’s name. Click “Finish” and your picture will be ready to shine bright (like a diamond) in your article editor.

Paste link to image:

If you are trying to insert an image from a website, copy its URL and paste into the text box on your screen. (Make sure you’re not violating copyright regulations!)

Click “Finish” and your picture should be beautifully displayed in your article now.

Select image from gallery:

Want to add/recycle an image from your publication’s gallery to your new article? Start off by selecting an image from the library (which will open up automatically). Either scroll through and select your image OR you could search for an image by entering its name in the search bar.

Your image upload has now been finalized!

Keep in mind: to use an image from your gallery, the picture must have been uploaded to that publication before.

Image Alignment

We made sure that it was very easy to switch your pictures' alignment with just one click.

However, if you are trying to line up two images right next to each other, try to do so consecutively. First, insert the image you want to align on the left.

Then, go ahead and add the image you want to line up to the right of your first picture.

This way, we're sure you're not encountering any additional issues.
