My Water Sensor Requires a Water Riser

Why might I need to install a water riser?
In some rare instances drain pans that tend to have a high level of condensation but not an actual standing water event, or drain pans with a large amount of debris, may cause the Water Sensor to send a false alert. If you believe this may be an issue for your situation, the Water Riser allows you to raise the Water Sensor slightly off the ground to avoid such false alerts. To do so simply follow the instructions below:

  1. Attach the Riser
The Water Sensor uses magnets to couple with the Riser. Simply join the Water Sensor and Water Sensor Riser as shown in the diagram.

  2. Install the Water Sensor

During setup, place the combined Water Sensor and Water Riser where instructed in the app.

    IMPORTANT
    1. Ensure the location is dry with no standing water before placing the sensor. If water is present, address the leak by contacting your HVAC service provider before setting the sensor.

    2. Do not place the sensor where water can drip from directly above (for instance below a water heater or pipes). Water can enter into the battery housing and harm the water sensor.
