How to create a new technician account for the SmartAC.com Pro App

All technicians who will be onboarding customers will require a SmartAC.com Pro App account. However, a technician account must first be created from the Partner Dashboard before the technician can log into the app & start member onboarding. This article covers how to manage & create these accounts.

Invite a single technician

  1. Sign into the Partner Dashboard and navigate to your technician’s page https://noc.smartac.com/technician

  2. Choose “Add a Technician”, and add the details of the tech or other team member for whom you are creating the Pro App account.

  3. Adding a photo for your technician is a good way to personalize your team to your homeowners

    • Techs can also add photos from the Pro App, but these won’t be live till they are reviewed and accepted from the Partner Dashboard

  4. Choose “Non-Installer" if you want this person’s installs to be excluded from your onboarding reporting on the Adoption Dashboard

  5. Choose “Ask user to set password when they sign in” to send instructions via email for them to create their own password

    • You can also create a password for them and communicate it to them verbally

  6. If you choose to send the Invite email, the instructions will be emailed to your technician to sign up

Invite Technicians in Bulk

  1. From the Technician list, choose “Import”

  2. Download the example CSV and paste your technician information into the proper columns to prepare it for import.

  3. Once your CSV is ready, drag and drop it into the Import CSV drop area.

  4. Resolve any errors with the formatting by re-uploading a corrected CSV.

  5. Click “Invite all” to send emails to all invited technicians.
