Adding or Removing Team Members

This article describes the process for adding, disabling, or deleting team members to your Smarter Launch account

Inviting team members to your Smarter Launch account allows each person to set up their own profile, including details like their photo, license number, and any additional fields you’ve created under Custom Fields for Team Members.


Adding a New Team Member

  • Go to Settings → Team.

  • Click the Invite Team Member button.

  • Fill in the new team member’s information in the dialog that appears.

  • Click Send Invite.

  • The invited team member will receive an email with a link to join your account.

The invitation link is valid for 7 days. If the team member doesn’t accept the invitation within that time, you can easily resend it:

  • Click the Actions button next to their name.

  • Select Re-send Invite.


Common Errors when Adding a Team Member

  1. "Plan Limit Error"

    1. Select the "Invite Team members button" to increase the plan limit (Owner access role only)

  2. "The Email Has Already Been Taken" or "Email Not Found. Please Register for an Account."

    1. The error message listed above means exactly what it says. However, it might also be confusing especially when you try to log in using the same email. This is the specific error message you may come across when trying to log in:

      Solution

      The reason why this is happening is because the email has already been registered and sent an invite previously. However, the user might have forgotten to accept the invite and the code has timed out. You can go to settings > team > locate the user with issue > click the three dots beside the name > resend invite:

      Notice how it says 'invited' from this screenshot above, that's exactly what's causing the issue - the user has been invited but took a longer time to accept the invite and the code has expired.


Deleting or Disabling a Team Member

  • Select the "three dots" to the left of the team member's name

  • Select "Disable" or "Delete" team member

  • You will be prompted to re-assign any proposals to a new team member

When you delete a team member, you will free up a license seat. This does not mean that your total license cap is reduced. To reduce your license cap, reach out to support@smarterlaunch.com
