The SmarterProctoring Extension will attempt to enter the password automatically. If this fails, click in the password field, then click the Inject Password icon to manually inject the password.

If provided by the instructor, click this icon to open a menu showing Attachments associated with the exam.

Click the Session Info icon to see important details about the exam, such as:

  • Exam Name

  • Course Name

  • Duration

  • Permitted Items

  • Student Notes

If the exam allows the use of a virtual calculator, the Calculator tool will open one directly within the exam tab.

Click the Live View icon to see a live feed of the camera on screen. This is helpful to make sure the test-taker is visible in the frame.

Proctor Chat

Click the Proctor icon to send or view messages between you and the proctor. Only available for sessions with live proctors.

Raise Hand

Click the Raise Hand icon to alert the proctor that you need assistance. Only available for sessions with live proctors.

Click the Support Chat icon to open a live text chat with SmarterProctoring support.

Click the End Proctoring icon to stop the active proctoring session.

Alerts

Alerts are system-generated messages that may appear within the toolbar during the proctoring session. These alerts are displayed to the right of the toolbar icons and are designed to provide real-time information or guidance relevant to the test-taker’s session.
