System Requirements

Approved Devices

  • Laptop, desktop, or Chromebook

  • Not allowed: Tablets, iPads, phones

Operating Systems

  • Windows, macOS or Chrome OS

Browser

Internet Speed

  • Minimum: 3 Mbps download, 1 Mbps upload

Audio & Video

  • Webcam, microphone, and speakers (internal or external)

  • No headphones unless approved


Testing Environment Checklist

  • Sit at a desk or table, not on a bed or couch

  • Make sure the room is well-lit and distraction-free

  • Clear your workspace of notes, devices, or unapproved items

  • Be prepared to perform a full room scan if prompted

  • Let others know not to interrupt during your test


Tech & Prep Tips

  • Restart your computer before the exam

  • Run a system check, including camera and mic

  • Close all programs except Chrome

  • Turn off auto-updates and notifications

  • Use a wired connection if available

  • Practice using your system in advance
