Your first location will always be the name of your Smartplan account and this will appear on top of your page with rotas. When you want to add new locations you can do it in three different ways:

“Rotas” → “Add another location”

If you go to “Rotas” you can click on “Add another location” in the bottom, left corner:

Then this field will appear in which you can simply type in the name of your new location and save by clicking on “Add location”:

Each time you add a new location you can find it on the page “Rotas”. In this case I have named the new location “London”:

Add a location when planning a rota

The next way to add a new location is when you are planning a rota. Simply start by clicking on “Create new rota”:

When you have done this you will enter the planningtool and then you can click on “Change location”:

Now, a new field will appear in which you just choose “Name a new location”:

As soon as you have filled out the name of your location you can finish by clicking on “Save” and then the name will be changed. In this example I have named the new location “Manchester”:

You can save your rota by choosing a period of time for it:

After you have chosen a period you can choose to fill out the rota or do it later. Either way the new location will now be visible on the page “Rotas”:

Add a location in your settings

Finally, you can add a location by clicking on “Settings” followed by “Smartplan Settings”:

Then you can click on “Locations” and choose “Create New Location”:

If you click on “Create New Location” this dropdown will appear:

Here you can find both previous locations which have been deleted and you can create a new location with a new name:

If you wish to create an all new location, simply fill out the name of the location and click on “Save”:
