Should your employees receive supplements on holidays, weekends or maybe in the evenings? Then you can easily set this up in Smartplan. Simply go to "Settings" -> "Smartplan Settings" -> "Salary". Here you can add the employees' supplements under "Salary supplements".

To get started, you have to click on "Add supplement" and then you can fill out all the necessary information about the supplement:

Supplement name:

Each supplement should have a name. It could be "Evening supplement", "Holiday supplement", "Weekend supplement". Choose the name that will help you achieve the best possible overview.

Supplement should apply on:

You also have to choose when they supplement should be applied. Should it only be on certain weekdays? All weekdays? Or maybe only some holidays? Simply click on the days, you want to include.

Supplement applies for:

Maybe all your employees should receive the supplement or maybe only some of them. You can easily choose which employees, that should receive the different supplements.

Applies for the following positions:

Just like with the employees, you can also choose which positions the supplement should be applied to. Maybe your employees should only receive it if their shift had a specific position? In that case, simply choose the positions that you would like to include.

Define time block for supplement:

You can also choose what time of the day, the supplement should be applied to. If it should be the entire day, you simply fill out "00:00-24:00". But you can also choose a different time span, if it should only be applied to some hours.

Hourly rate for supplement:

Here you can define the value of your supplement, meaning how much should be added on top of your workers average salary on an hourly basis. You will not only be able to enter a set hourly rate here, but a percentage as well. It means that Smartplan can calculate the supplement proportionally based on the salary type that a person has. In case you have set up differing salary rates depending on the job position of a shift, the supplement will always be calculated from the salary type that the employee has during a specific shift.

Enter salary type:

You also have the option to add a salary type for the supplement. If you are using a salary system that you would like to add the information to afterwards, then perhaps use what the supplements are already called in your salary system. That might make it easier for you to insert the information afterwards. Otherwise, you can call it whatever you prefer.
