How Do I Customize Residents’ Guest Access Settings in SmartRent?

Resident Guest Access Settings allows you to control how residents are able to generate additional credentials for their home. You can set the limit of each code type residents can create, as well as the code’s active duration.

Access Types:

Temporary Access: Temporary credentials are set to be active for a specific duration. Once the time limit passes, the code expires and is no longer usable. These credentials are great for deliveries and third-party repairs.

Recurring Access: Recurring credentials will run indefinitely but are limited to specific times of the day and/or specific days of the week. These credentials are perfect for regularly scheduled visitors, such as dog walkers, house cleaners, etc..

Permanent Access: Permanent credentials function very similarly to standard resident access codes. These credentials will work until they are either deleted by the resident or if the resident is moved-out. This access type is ideal for roommates, partners, children, etc..
