The Alloy Home Electrical Heating Thermostat has a built-in electric leak protector to safeguard against electric shock and system damage. After installation, we recommend testing this safety feature by performing a GFCI Test to ensure everything is working properly.
Please note, when the GFCI Test is initiated, the thermostat may appear as if it is not functional. With the GFCI button being located on the side of the thermostat, it is possible residents may press it unintentionally.
Performing a GFCI Test:
To perform the GFCI Test on the Alloy Home Electrical Heating Thermostat, follow these steps:
Press the GFCI Button on the right side of the thermostat (GFCI Icon will display on thermostat’s screen)
The output of electrical heating should stop and red indicator light on the right side of the thermostat should turn on
If the GFCI icon does not appear, the red light indicator does not turn on, or the heating does not stop, consider replacing the unit
Exiting a GFCI Test:
To exit the GFCI Test on the Alloy Home Electrical Heating Thermostat, follow these steps:
Turn off the thermostat
Wait 10 seconds
Turn the thermostat back on
