  1. Navigate to the Tax Returns Tab

    • Begin by accessing the Tax Returns tab in TaxWise. This is where you can view the submission status of the return.

  2. Click on Reject

    • Once in the Tax Returns tab, click Reject to access rejected submissions.

  3. Click More Info

    • Select the More Info option to proceed further into the reject details.

  4. Enter Taxpayer Details

    • Input the taxpayer’s Social Security Number (SSN) without any dashes.

    • Select the relevant tax year associated with the reject code.

    • Press Search to locate the necessary information.

  5. Select the Most Recent Reject Entry

    • After the search results are displayed, click Select next to the most recent reject entry for the return in question.

  6. Access Reject History

    • Click Reject History to view the detailed reason for the rejection. This section provides a comprehensive explanation of the issue.

  7. Review and Resolve

    • The reject reason will be presented in detailed IRS language. Carefully review the explanation to understand what caused the rejection.
