Who Receives Form 1095-A?
Anyone covered under a Health Insurance Marketplace plan will receive Form 1095-A from the federal or state exchange by January 31st via mail or Healthcare.gov.

Where to Find Form 1095-A?
Form 1095-A is required for filing and appears as Form 8962 in the software. If the taxpayer had Marketplace Health Insurance, Form 8962 must be included in the tax return.
How to Add Form 1095-A
Click Health Insurance on the left-side menu or search 8962 in the search bar.
Select YES when prompted and click Continue.
3. Household Members and Required Entries
This section displays the taxpayer, spouse, and dependents listed on the tax return. It is for reference only, as the penalty for not having health insurance was removed starting in tax year 2019. Since this list is used solely for penalty calculations, there is no need to add individuals manually. YOU MAY KEEP IT AS IT IS.
Answer the following questions:
Unemployment Compensation Eligibility (2021): If applicable, select YES to set Household income as a percentage of the federal poverty line to 133%.
Repayment of APTC: Generally NO, unless the taxpayer is not lawfully present in the U.S. or qualifies for the Health Coverage Tax Credit.
Coverage Consistency: If coverage remained unchanged throughout the year, enter only the annual totals from Form 1095-A, Line 33, Columns A, B, and C. Otherwise, enter monthly amounts.
Enter the required amounts as listed on Form 1095-A.
