Model Actions within the Account

The available actions in an account can be taken directly here -

Note:

  • The Allocate and Liquidate features are not intended to be used on accounts that have Targets assigned.

  • To invest in a new model, use the Allocate panel from the Navigation. You will have options that control the size of your allocation as well as the amount of leverage you can use.

Allocate the Account/Model

To allocate into an existing model:

  1. Click the Allocate button

  2. Select a Model

  3. Screen will open showing available funds to allocate

  4. Choose the dollar amount to invest

    1. Minimum Investment will automatically be filled in - This is the least you can invest in a strategy

    2. If you already have an allocation, the incremental investment will be $1 in the example below

  5. Click Simulate Historical Returns to view a historical returns graph

  6. You may Add additional leverage to the investment here

    1. A margin account at the custodian level will be required - additional charges incurred for the use of leverage as well

      1. These rates are set by the custodian

  7. In addition, you can select the box called Track Manager Leverage

  8. This will ensure that if the underlying strategy employs leverage, so will your allocation. Again, a margin account is required, and additional fees will be incurred, as charged by the custodian.

Click the Submit button to bring up the Confirm Allocation box, confirm the allocation by typing ‘Invest’ and the new allocation will be added to the portfolio.

Note:

  • The Allocate and Liquidate features are not intended to be used on accounts that have Targets assigned.

  • To invest in a new model, use the Allocate panel from the Navigation. You will have options that control the size of your allocation as well as the amount of leverage you can use.

Liquidate an Account/Model

  3. Click the blue Liquidate Model

  4. Click YES, to confirm the Liquidation of the allocation

Once complete, the account will be divested of the strategy

Note: The Allocate and Liquidate features are not intended to be used on accounts that have Targets assigned.

Model Holdings / View Holdings

To view the holding level data within the model, once assigned to the account, click Holdings.

Allocation Holdings tab will display details of the holdings within the model. You may also view recent transactions within the model by toggling the Positions/Transactions options at the bottom of this screen.

Clicking the chart icon will allow you to view and collapse the Monthly Performance of the allocation.

Target - Quick Assign to an Account

If you already have a Target created and would like to assign it to a client’s account, click on the desired client account from the Active Accounts page and scroll to the bottom. Select the “Quick Assign” button.

❗️Note: This will only appear if no target is assigned to the account currently.

A Target pop-up will allow you to select one from the drop-down list.

Once a Target is selected, click on it, and enter an additional cash buffer, if desired. This field can be left blank if extra cash in the account is not needed. Then hit the “Assign Target” button.

You will be prompted to confirm that you are assigning a Target to the account, and then then the system will ask if you would like to effectuate the trades associated with assigning a new target to the account by prompting you to go to the Rebalancer. It will then load the Rebalance request for you to then review and approve trades.
