Setting Up and Using Your eSIM 📱

How do I install my eSIM? 📲

Once you’ve received your QR code and activation details by email, along with your confirmation code from your SMARTY dashboard, you’re ready to go.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A stable Wi-Fi connection

  • Your eSIM email containing the QR code and activation code

  • Your confirmation code (available in your SMARTY dashboard)

Then, follow the steps below for whichever device you're using.

iPhone

You’ve got three ways to install your eSIM on an iPhone.

Scan the QR Code

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Tap Mobile Service

  4. Scroll down and tap Add eSIM

  5. Select Use QR Code

  6. Scan the QR code from your email

  7. Enter the confirmation code from your dashboard when prompted

Manual Activation

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Tap Mobile Service

  4. Tap Add eSIM

  5. Select Use QR Code

  6. At the bottom of the screen, tap Enter details manually

  7. When asked for the SM-DP+ Address, enter:
    ​thales3.prod.ondemandconnectivity.com

  8. Enter the activation code from your email

  9. Enter the confirmation code from your dashboard and tap Next

Install Directly from Email

  1. Open the email we sent you

  2. Tap Install eSIM on your iPhone

    • Or press and hold the QR code until a menu appears

    • Then tap Install eSIM

Important: No matter which method you use, you’ll always need your 4-digit confirmation code from your SMARTY dashboard to complete the setup.

⚠️ This PIN is required to activate your eSIM - and it’s not the same as any code found in your email.

Android

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Tap Connections

  4. Select SIM Card Manager

  5. Tap Add Mobile Plan

  6. Choose Scan Carrier QR Code

  7. Scan the QR code from your email

  8. Enter the confirmation code from your dashboard

Important: To complete your eSIM setup, you’ll need your 4-digit confirmation code from your SMARTY dashboard.

Google Pixel

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Tap Network & Internet

  4. Select SIMS

  5. Tap Add SIM

  6. Scan the QR code from your email

  7. Enter the confirmation code from your dashboard

Device Compatibility 🔍

The quickest and most reliable way to check if your device supports eSIM is to dial *#06# on your phone.

  • If you see an EID number, your device is eSIM compatible.

Other ways to check:

 For iOS:

 Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Add eSIM

 For Android:

 Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs or Mobile Network

If you’re still unsure whether your device supports eSIM, we recommend checking with your device manufacturer before requesting a swap to eSIM.

📱 Your phone is compatible with eSIM – not all models are

Try These Quick Fixes:

🔄 Restart your phone
✈️ Switch Airplane mode on and off
⬆️ Look for any software updates

Still not working? You can request a replacement eSIM from your dashboard.
