1. Create a new video project

To start building your first video, click on the 'CREATE A PROJECT' button. Simply name your project and click CREATE PROJECT.

You will now be able to start building your video.

2. Upload video asset(s)

Firstly, you should upload the video file that you wish to use (max file size = 1.5 GB). You can upload three different video formats, vertical (9:16), horizontal (16:9), and square (1:1).

In order to upload your video, click the drop-down arrow next to 'ALTERNATIVE VIDEO SOURCES' to reveal all format upload sections. Here, you can either drag and drop a video file directly onto the equivalent size upload area or click on the area to browse your files and select the video you would like to use.

Tip: If your video is taking time to upload feel free to continue editing your project and proceeded with the next steps.

Once your video has been uploaded you will see it appear in your video list.

Tip: it is not essential to upload a square version of your video, as long as you have landscape and portrait formats.

3. Edit your Splashscreen

You can scroll down in the video upload area to set the Splash Screen. This is the first screen that the viewers will see before they click play. Click the pen to edit.

This will bring up the splashscreen edit screen. Here you can click to upload or drag and drop images for your first screen.

By selecting the 16.9 landscape size from the drop-down on the top right-hand side of the screen, you can assign a landscape image to the desktop version of your video’s splash screen.

By selecting the 9:16 vertical size from the drop-down on the top right-hand side of the screen you can assign your video a portrait image for the splash screen. By choosing the 1:1 you can add a square image.

Tip: It is not essential to upload a square screen image if you don’t have a square video uploaded.

4. Import products

To begin importing your products, navigate to the 'Products' section of the editor using the navigation panel on the left-hand side. Here simply click the 'IMPORT PRODUCTS' button.

After selecting your API you will then be able to search products by ID number (or in some cases Product Name). Add a string of product IDs to request multiple products at once. Once you have requested the items you would like to add to your project, select them and click 'IMPORT SELECTED' to finish the import.

Note: Depending on your e-commerce integration, certain functionalities may vary on your account. Please contact your Account Manager for custom integration inquires.

5. Manually create products

To add products to your project, you must navigate to the 'Products' section of the editor using the navigation panel on the left-hand side. Here you will be able to manually add product information using the product form.

Once you have added in your desired product information click 'SAVE' in the top right-hand corner of the page to finish building your product.

Tip: Click the product in the product list to edit the product again.

6. Edit your Endscreen

In the video upload section, you can also upload an End Screen. This is the last image the viewer will see once the video has ended. Click the pen icon next to the End Screen to edit.

This will bring up the End Screen edit section. Here, you can drag and drop or click to upload an image for the End Screen.

Click the 16:9 desktop from the drop-down in the top right-hand side of the page to assign a landscape image.

Click the 9:16 portrait option from the drop-down on the top right-hand side of the page to assign a vertical image for mobile viewing.

Click the 1:1 option to assign a square image to the end screen for square screens.

Tip: Please note it is not essential to upload a square image if you do not have a square video uploaded.

Using a product carousel at the end of your video is a great way to encourage viewers to re-explore your products and may even convince them to make a purchase.

You want to adjust the number of products displayed depending on the ratio to optimize the viewing experience. We recommend using the following for each ratio:

16:9: 4

1:1: 2

9:16: 1

This is already set by default once you enable the end screen carousel.

By clicking 'Edit products in Carousel', you can also order the products on the end screen carousel by dragging and dropping and hide some of them by clicking on the eye below.

7. Create Groups

In order to group your items together (eg. build a 'Look' for a group of fashion items), navigate to the 'Groups' section of the editor using the navigation panel on the left-hand side.

To create a group click the '+' icon on the right. When creating your group you can name it (for editor purposes only), add a group image and select the items that you wish to include in the group. Please note that the group image will appear on the group pop-up in the video. Once you are happy with your selection then click SAVE to add your group to the project.

8. Create a side carousel

The final element that you can add/adjust to your video is the carousel that the user can see whilst the video is playing. Click the three lines to add Drawer on the left of the video preview and the '+' icon to add the carousel. Here you can adjust the settings and add your desired items.

Top tip: Order your products chronologically by the appearance in the video by clicking the stepped lines in the dropdown.

9. Tag the video with hotspots

In order to tag your video, you can simply drag and drop any product or group to the video preview on the right-hand side of the timeline at the bottom of the editor. Once you drop the product or group onto the video or timeline your tag will appear on both the video preview area and the timeline. Use the video preview area to manipulate your tag to cover the desired area on the video. Use the timeline to then edit the duration of the video that you wish the clickable hotspot to be active for.

Tip: For longer videos zoom into the timeline using the slider on the top left of the timeline to more accurately set the duration of the hotspot.

When a hotspot is selected you can also edit its settings in the HOTSPOT editing tools on the left side of the editor. Here you can adjust the size and position of the hotspot, change the product or group connected to the hotspot, and add a visual area for the hotspot.

Tip: To delete a hotspot you can also use the backspace function on your keyboard after selecting the hotspot

10. Add CTA Tag images

To add images to your video (eg. visuals to notify the viewer they can interact with the video), navigate to the 'Images' section of the editor using the navigation panel on the left-hand side.

Here you will see that we have added a few stock options for you to use, however, feel free to add custom images to your project by clicking the '+' icon on the top right of the image list.

To add an image to your video, either drag and drop it onto the video preview on the right-hand side of the timeline.

Tip: Click the star on the images to set it as a default visual cue when tagging your video with products and groups.

11. Save, publish & share your video

Once you are happy with your changes, click the SAVE icon on the top right of the editor to save your project. Saving will save your progress within the editor. If the project were to be embedded on a site, you would need to click 'Publish' in order to see the changes pulling through.

To share the video to your storefront click the SHARE icon on the top right of the editor.
