Standard Analytics Dashboard πŸ“Š

Welcome to the guide for understanding the analytics dashboard. Here, you will find everything you need to know about the performance of your videos.

1. Locating the analytics dashboard

The analytics dashboard can be found on the left-hand side as you open your account in the Smartzer editor.

2. Viewing your analytics across all videos

Once opened, you can see an overview of your company's analytics. This will show the performance for all of your published and shared videos.

You can select specific metrics like views, clicks, interactive views, CTR, Unique CTR, and interactive view rate. Click the tabs to show the metrics across all videos.

In the top right of the window, you can adjust the date to view data from a specific time.

Top Tip: to find out more about what each metric means, hover on the 'i' icon in the tabs.

3. Viewing specific video analytics

Towards the bottom of the page, you can select videos to view their specific performance.

This will bring up metrics exclusive to the selected video. Under the views tab, you can see views, player impressions, all impressions, interactive view rate and completion rate.

Top Tip: You can also access specific video analytics by selecting the 'View Analytics' option from the dropdown on the Project List.

Along the side of the page, you can see how viewers interact with your video. Selecting 'click map' and 'view map' will show you where viewers clicked and the percentage views throughout your video.

Select 'first level clicks' to view the total amount of clicks on specific interactive elements of your video.

Clicking the CTA tab will show you a variety of metrics to do with click-throughs from the video. Select the 'source' tab to view where the click-through came from and 'type' to view what type of CTA was clicked to generate a click-through.

Click the popularity tab to display all your featured products. Here, you can see which product was clicked the most, which groups were the most popular, clicks in the carousel, and via replay screen.

Data points available in Smartzer Analytics

Approximately 24 hours after, we can provide the following data points:

Views - Total number of views (each video play event). You will also be able to see a View Map showing the View Rate (number of unique viewers per second) and how this graph changes throughout the video.

Views can be broken down by device and country. So you will be able to know how many of the viewers watched the video on mobile, desktop, and tablet.

  • Impressions - number of pageloads for web pages that include the fully loaded Smartzer player.

  • Interactive View Rate - this will show you the % of viewers that interacted at least with one element of the video (open drawer, click on product pop-up, etc)

  • Completion rate - Percentage of viewers that watched the video until the end.

First level Clicks - this can be broken down by where the clicks occurred (product tags, drawer, etc).

  • Total first level clicks - this can be broken down by where the clicks occurred (product tags, drawer, CTAs, etc).

  • Misclicks - number of clicks that were on an area without a hotspot.

Note: If you see '0' in a metric, it is most likely because that specific feature was not used on the video project.

CTA - These metrics can also be broken down by device and country. Therefore you can know if a product has generated more interest in a country in specific.

  • Click-through rate (CTR) - The percentage of viewers who clicked a CTA in a pop-up, or clicked on a product on the replayscreen (this directs the viewer to that product page). You will be able to see how many times the CTA was clicked and where that click came from (Via Popup, Drawer, or replay screen).

Popularity - Most popular/loved products by your audience broken down by First Level clicks, or CTA clicks.

  • First Level Clicks - you will be able to see how many times each product pop-up was opened and where these clicks came from product tags, drawer or replayscreen.

  • CTA - You can see the products that were added to the cart the most, as well as the source of this click (product pop-up, or drawer).
