Customise your point of sale settings

Find out how to configure your point of sale (POS) settings.

To access your POS settings, click on your "initials" located in the top-right corner of the POS screen.

1. How to scan bookings

This setting determines when POS sales are registered as scanned.

  • Auto: Bookings are automatically processed as scanned when the sale is completed.

  • Manual: Bookings require a manual scan after each sale is finalised.

2. How to print tickets

These settings are crucial if you print tickets, labels, or various receipts on-site.

2.1 Print automation

This setting determines whether tickets are printed automatically.

  • Auto: Tickets and labels are printed automatically after each sale.

  • Manual: Tickets and labels need to be manually selected for printing at the end of each sale.

2.2 Entry Tickets (Ticket type & printer)

  1. First, select your ticket type, which defines the format of your printed ticket:

    1. Regular tickets: Thermal tickets printed using an external thermal printer (in addition to your standard receipt printer). (read full process)

    2. Simplified receipt tickets: Tickets with a QR code printed via the receipt printer (in addition to the standard receipt). Note: When selling gift cards with this option, the gift card code will be included on the simplified receipt ticket.

  2. If you have chosen the regular ticket, specify the Printer to be used.

2.3 Label printing

If printing labels, select your designated label printer (read full process).

2.4 Receipt options

You can configure different types of receipts and their respective printers.

  • Order Summary Receipt: Enable or disable this option (e.g., for kitchen receipts) and select the appropriate printer (read the full process)

  • Receipt Printer: Select your primary receipt printer for standard receipts (read the full process).

3. Peripherals, cash drawer and receipts

This section allows you to manage connected peripherals and cash drawer behaviour.

  • Devices: Select the peripherals you are using.

    • Note: Peripherals must be created in the back office before they can be selected here (read full process)

  • Print Receipt Automatically: Toggle this option to automatically print receipts or require manual confirmation.

  • Cash Drawer Opening: Choose when the cash drawer should open:

    • After each cash payment

    • After each sale

    • Never

4. Payment Settings

Configure your payment options and methods.

4.1 Order with Balance

If "Complete Order with Balance" is enabled, you can finalise a reservation with an open balance directly from the POS.

4.2 Payment Terminals

4.3 Payment methods

  • Activate/Deactivate: Enable or disable the payment methods you wish to use.

  • Assign Payment Terminal: Assign a specific payment terminal for card transactions.

    • You can find the serial number on the back of the terminal.

  • Rearrange Methods: Click and drag the 6 dots on the left of each payment method to change their display order.
