A Snak™ can be created, with success, as a short story.

All good stories start with a sudden impact; a scene-setting that draws you into the world of the story. From there the story escalates to a conflict or a challenge that is then resolved and followed by a “reward” until the next challenge is presented.

The same techniques can be used by a simple quiz in a Snak™ to promote a company and/or its offerings.

Here is our recipe to create an interesting and engaging Snak™:

Create the “Tease”/Conflict:

Create interest by setting the scene. This can be done by describing a “tease” or a conflict.

Provide a Challenge:

Make a small multiple-choice quiz based on the tease or conflict (most people can’t resist a challenge).

Show the Resolution:

Display the result and how many others got it correct. Most people are competitive and enjoy comparing themselves to others.

Give the Reward:

The reward can be providing the consumer with the information or solution to the conflict. Knowledge is valuable. This also provides a means of engaging with the content creator(s) and building your brand of honest and trustworthy information.

Let’s see how this is done using an example.

USE CASE: The Promotion of a Solicitor

Tease/conflict:

Have you made your will? At every other death, the inheritance goes to a different receiver than the deceased had intended…

Challenge:

54% of all Danes want to make a last will. How many actually get it done?

a. Less than 20%

b. Between 25 and 35%

c. Around 40%

Resolution:

a. You are incorrect, only 19% of Danes have drawn their last will.

b. You are correct, only 19% of Danes have drawn their last will.

Reward:

“Despite the fact that 54% of all Danes want to make sure that their belongings go to the right people after their passing, only 19% actually get around to creating and owning a last will and testament. It’s actually very easy, and not costly at all, and you are always welcome to change any details at a later date should you change your mind.

I’m Niels Christian from Bach Advocates. Fill out the form and we’ll make sure that you get your will in the end!”

End the Snak™ with a link to the company website.
