Roles are predefined sets of permissions assigned to users, dictating what they can and cannot do within the platform. Permissions are specific actions users are allowed to perform, such as viewing, editing, or deleting content.

Together, roles and permissions form the foundation of a robust access management system, enabling you to tailor the platform experience to suit the diverse needs of your team or organization. Whether you're an administrator setting up accounts or a user seeking to understand your access level, this article will provide you with the necessary insights to navigate and utilize our platform's roles and permissions feature effectively.

To explore the nuances of various roles and permissions, please navigate to the Roles & Permissions tab within the platform.

Org Administrator

The Org Administrator holds the pinnacle position within the Snakker™ platform, a role typically reserved for a singular user, embodying the zenith of authority and oversight. This distinguished role inherits the capabilities of all subordinate roles, yet its essence lies in the comprehensive management of the company's operational and content spheres.

The scope of the Org Administrator transcends content management, delving into the realms of administrative governance. It covers an expansive territory including user and team management, where the creation, editing, and cataloguing of users and teams fall under its purview.

Additionally, the role is charged with the critical tasks of managing access rights, subscriptions, and the media library. This confluence of responsibilities illustrates the role's paramount importance in orchestrating both the content narrative and the operational architecture of the company, ensuring a cohesive and efficient ecosystem.

Team Administrator

The Team Administrator role is second to the Org Administrator role. It is designed with a broad spectrum of permissions that cater to user management, content creation, and event coordination within one or more teams (as specified by the Org Administrator) in the company. This role empowers the Team Administrator to not only manage but also contribute to the content and structure of the system.

This distinguished role inherits the capabilities of all subordinate roles (Director, Broadcaster, and Reporter), yet its essence lies in the comprehensive management of the team's operational and content spheres.

Director

The Director role offers comprehensive control over the creation, distribution, and management of content across the Snak™ and Media Library segments. This role encompasses the abilities to upload, list, and replicate media across the platform, ensuring meticulous organization and accessibility of media content.

Within the realm of Snaks™, the Director has full oversight over the lifecycle of these entities, from their inception to their categorization as active or archived, and further into publishing. The role's capacity to clone Snaks™ is pivotal for content diversification and adaptation, allowing for seamless content updates and enhancements to maintain relevance.

The role's access extends to a holistic view of content, enabling the Director to monitor both active and inactive Snaks™, and to access those created personally or by their teams. This dual focus on Snak™ and media management empowers the Director to spearhead content strategy, ensuring the system's operational effectiveness and the integrity of its content.

Broadcaster

The Broadcaster, aptly dubbed the Sharer, plays a crucial role in disseminating active Snaks™ across a multitude of distribution channels. This role is central to ensuring that content reaches its intended audience through carefully selected platforms.

This role encapsulates a broad spectrum of permissions across events, Snaks™, and team coordination. For events, the role enables comprehensive oversight, including the creation, viewing, editing, listing, archiving, and unarchiving of events within all teams accessible to the user. This ensures the user can manage event-related activities across the board, fostering collaboration and communication within and across teams.

In the realm of Snaks™, the user is equipped to list, share, and view Snaks™ across the platform. This includes the ability to manage the visibility of active Snaks™, ensuring content remains relevant and accessible to the intended audience. The sharing capabilities highlight the role's emphasis on collaborative content management and dissemination, promoting an environment of shared knowledge and resources.

Additionally, team management capabilities allow the user to list and view teams they are part of, underscoring the role's significance in facilitating team dynamics and engagement. This role is pivotal in bridging communication and resource sharing among team members, enhancing operational efficiency and content integrity across the system.

Reporter

This system role is designed to offer a comprehensive overview and management capability over events, teams, Snaks™, results, and reports within the platform. It enables the user to access and manage events across all teams, providing a holistic view that facilitates coordination and planning. The role also encompasses the ability to list and view the teams the user is a part of, emphasizing the importance of understanding team dynamics and activities.

When it comes to Snaks™, the user can list both active and inactive ones, whether they are created by the user or available across teams. This broad visibility ensures that the user remains informed about the content landscape within the system, allowing for effective content tracking and management.

Additionally, this role includes the capability to view personal results and all results across the platform, offering insights into the performance and impact of various activities and content. The ability to view statistical reports on Snaks™ further enhances the role's analytical aspect, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy development.

Overall, this role is crucial for those who need a comprehensive understanding of the system's content, events, and team activities, along with the analytical acumen to assess performance and results.
