🟢 To get started, log into this in a separate window or tab:

  • Facebook/Meta Business Suite


How-To: Set Up Facebook's Aggregated Event Measurement

Step 1.


Step 2.

Under 'Business Tools', select 'Events Manager'.


Step 3.

Under 'Data Sources', select your active Pixel.


Step 4.

Then, select the tab that says, 'Aggregated Event Measurement - New'.


Step 5.

Click on the button that says, 'Configure Web Events'.


Step 6.

Click on 'Edit Events' under your active domain.


Step 7.

From the 'Edit Web Event Configuration' page, you'll see:

'Priority', 'Pixel/Custom Conversion', 'Event Name', 'Value Optimization', 'Assigned Events', a button that says, 'Add Events', and

underneath that: pixel events in order from 'Highest priority' to 'Lowest priority'.


Step 8.

To start, under 'Pixel/Custom Conversion'

make sure your active Pixel is selected,

- and then -

under 'Event Name'

click the drop down menu and select 'Purchase'.

Then click the green 'Add Event' button to add more event rows.


Step 9.

Once you've clicked on 'Add Event'

> Click the drop down menu and select 'Initiate Checkout'

> Repeat until you have added 5 events in this order:

  1. Purchase

  2. Initiate Checkout

  3. Add to Cart

  4. View Content

  5. Search

⚠️ Make sure under 'Event Name' the events are in that order. ⚠️


Step 10.

Under 'Value Optimization'

> Toggle the button 'On', and

> Click the blue button 'Submit'.

*Please note: If your pixel doesn't have enough purchase information yet, you won't be able to turn this button on. If that's the case, please just move on to the next step.*

Step 11.

You'll see a notice that says 'Confirm event changes'

> Click, 'Yes, I understand these changes', and

> Click the blue button 'Apply'.
