Managing Points/Gifts Distribution: A Comprehensive Guide

This guide provides detailed instructions on how to manage point distribution within your platform, including viewing spending data, adding/withdrawing points, and understanding how recipient deletions affect point balances.

Understanding Point/Gift Spending

  • Points Tab Overview

    • The "Points" tab displays a summary of point spending.

    • The "Spent" column shows the total points or gifts used by recipients.

    • The "Budget/Gifts" column shows the remaining point balance available.

  • Detailed Report

    • For in-depth historical order data, download a detailed report.

    • The table provides a quick spending summary, while the report offers a comprehensive order view.


Adding or Withdrawing Points/Gifts

  • Accessing Point Management

    • The Points tab in the Dashboard allows you to add or withdraw points manually or in bulk.

  • Manual vs. Bulk

    • Manual actions modify individual recipient accounts.

    • Bulk actions modify multiple recipient accounts simultaneously.


Adding or Withdrawing Points/Gifts for a Specific Recipient 👤

  • Using the Scale Bar ⚖️


    1️⃣ Select Recipient

    • Under the Points tab, select the one recipient entry

    2️⃣ Add Points

    • Input the number of points you wish to reward and click "Reward."

    3️⃣ Notification Options

    • Choose to send an automatic notification email or not

    4️⃣ Reward

    • Click "Reward" to complete the point addition

  • Manually Select to Add/Withdraw☝️

    1️⃣ Hover over Recipient Entry

    Hover over entry and select 3 dots icon to take an action

    2️⃣ Add/Withdraw Points

    • Input the number of points you wish to reward/withdraw (+/-)

    3️⃣ Save Changes


Adding or Withdrawing Points/Gifts in Bulk 👥

  • Using the Scale Bar ⚖️


    1️⃣ Select Recipients

    • Check the "All" box (or hold Ctrl or Command + click to select specific recipients).

    2️⃣ Add Points

    • Input the number of points you wish to reward and click "Reward."

    3️⃣ Notification Options

    • Choose to send an automatic notification email or not.

    4️⃣ Reward

    • Click "Reward" to complete the point addition.

  • Bulk-Select to Add/Withdraw☝️


    1️⃣ Select Recipients

    • Check the "All" box (or hold Ctrl or Command + click to select specific recipients)

    2️⃣ Access Add/Withdraw

    • Click the three dots button at the top right of the table → select "Add/Withdraw"

    3️⃣ Adjust Points

    • Input "+" to add or "-" followed by the number of points that you wish to add/remove (ex. +50 or -50).

    • Optional: Click "Withdraw all" to remove all points

    4️⃣ Save Changes

Note: This method does not send notifications. Navigate to the "Last Activity" section under the Activity tab to send notifications.


Withdrawing All Points/Gifts

  • Bulk-Select and Withdraw All


    1️⃣ Select Recipients

    • Check the "All" box (or hold Ctrl or Command + click to select specific recipients)

    2️⃣ Access Add/Withdraw

    • Click the three dots button at the top right of the table → select "Add/Withdraw"

    3️⃣ Withdraw All

    • Check the "Withdraw all" box.

    4️⃣ Save Changes

Note: This method does not send notifications. Recipients will see the change in their account.


Recipient Deletion and Point/Gift Balances

What happens to the points when you remove a recipient profile under "Points?"

Automatic Point Removal

  • Points linked to a deleted recipient profile are automatically removed

  • If your recipient had prepaid points, then the amount will be returned to your account only if you have a prepaid payment method set up in your store

  • No charges are incurred for unused points
