Nicotine Anonymous (NicA)

Written by Heidi M

Nicotine Anonymous is a Twelve Step fellowship for people who want to stop using nicotine. It welcomes people seeking freedom from smoking and other forms of nicotine use. Members use the Twelve Steps and mutual support to work toward their personal goals around nicotine recovery.

Meetings provide a place to share experiences, discuss challenges, and learn from others who are working to change their nicotine use. Members may find encouragement, accountability, and a sense of community as they navigate cravings and changes in routine. Nicotine Anonymous can be used alongside other supports, such as counseling, quitlines, or medically approved smoking-cessation treatments.
