S-Anon is a Twelve Step fellowship for people affected by another person's compulsive sexual behavior. Members may be spouses, partners, family members, or other loved ones who have experienced distress, secrecy, or relationship disruption connected to these behaviors. The fellowship provides a confidential peer-support setting where people can discuss their experiences with others who understand.
Through meetings and the Twelve Steps, members work on their own healing, emotional well-being, and personal boundaries. S-Anon encourages participants to focus on what they can change in their own lives rather than trying to control another person's behavior. It can provide a community of support while members consider other resources, including individual or relationship counseling.
