Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA)

Written by Heidi M

Sex Addicts Anonymous is a Twelve Step fellowship for people who want to stop compulsive sexual behaviors that are causing distress or harm in their lives. Members define their own recovery goals and work to understand behaviors they find difficult to control. The fellowship provides peer support without requiring everyone to follow an identical definition of recovery.

Members attend meetings, share their experiences, and may work with a sponsor to explore the Twelve Steps. The process can help participants identify patterns, build accountability, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. SAA is a peer-support resource, and people may also choose to work with qualified mental health professionals.
