Welcome to the most exciting update in SocialLadder’s history. Our Gen 3 isn’t just a functionality—it’s a whole new chapter for your ambassador program.
We’ve expanded the platform to help brands like yours move beyond one-off tasks and build real, lasting communities. With a unified web + mobile experience, vibrant conversation spaces, and new ways to amplify ambassador voices, Gen 3 is designed to spark deeper engagement and long-term loyalty.
This step-by-step guide will walk you through everything you need to get started. From tagging ambassadors for early access to building your first rooms and posts, we’ll help you make the most of this powerful new experience.
Here’s how the Gen 3 rollout will unfold:
April 14–27: Beta Access
Beta access begins @ 4PM EST on 4/14
You choose which testers or ambassadors get early access by tagging them. (up to 10)
You can begin setting up your rooms, testing features, and posting content.
Your tagged ambassadors will experience the new Gen 3 functionalities, including a brand new mobile app.
This is your chance to explore and design your unique community before it launches to everyone.
April 28: Gen 3 is here!
All ambassadors across your program will be upgraded to the new Gen 3 experience.
Any rooms or content you created during the beta will remain active.
📝 Tip: Use the Beta window to start building momentum so you’re ready to hit the ground running on launch day.
1. Tagging Ambassadors for Beta Access
During the Beta period, you can control which ambassadors get early access to the Gen 3 experience. That's how you'll do this:
Navigate to the list of Ambassadors on your admin portal.
Select the ambassador (up to 10) you'd like to tag for early access.
Add the “IS_BETA_TESTER” tag to their profile
Click Update — they will now see the new Gen 3 Community-Focused features and have access to the all new Community App.
📝 Tip: Start with your team and then add the most engaged ambassadors to test and gather feedback before a full rollout.
2. Creating and Organizing Community Rooms
Rooms are where your ambassadors will gather, post, and connect. You can create public rooms for everyone or private rooms for specific segments of ambassadors.
How to create a room:
Go to the Communities section from your admin panel.
Click “New Room”.
Fill in:
Room name
Room cover image
Room type: Public or Private
Optional: Set open/close dates
Allow ambassadors to mute notifications
Enable ambassador contributions
Click Save to publish the room.
We've created two sample rooms for you to try first. These rooms are scheduled to "Close" on 4/27 at the end of the Beta phase.
📝 Tip: Use the beta phase to set up your community rooms and add welcome or housekeeping posts to them to guide early engagement.
3. Posting in the Announcements Room & Syndicated UGC
Each program includes a fixed Announcements Room, ideal for official updates and campaign launches. This room will also have syndicated UGC from challenges your ambassadors are completing, to spark inspiration and guide engagement.
How to post in the Announcements Room:
Open the Feed menu in your admin portal (same functionality used for the current ambassador feed).
Click “New Post”.
Add your title, text, image, or video.
Click Post.
How UGC content is syndicated into the Announcements room:
UGC is at the core of any ambassador community.
The Announcements room syndicates the best UGC from your program into a simple central location.
Only true UGC is shown. Leveraging AI, our platform will automatically hide boring and repetitive content like evidence-based screenshot for things like "Follow our Instagram"
Our algorithms automatically spotlight the most engaged with content from each challenge.
📝 Tip: Use the Announcements room to build excitement. You can even schedule a post to go live at launch so ambassadors get notified and check it out.
Moderating Reported Content
Your ambassadors can report content that feels inappropriate or off-brand. As an admin, you have full control over how it's handled.
In you admin panel, go to the Requires attention section in your community.
Review each reported post or comment.
Choose to either:
Mark as Safe – if the content doesn’t violate any guidelines.
Delete Content – to remove it from the platform entirely.
We are excited to roll out AI recommendations for content moderation in the near future to ensure you can focus your energy on fostering a rich community and not policing.
📝 Tip: Encourage ambassadors to use the report feature to help keep your community respectful and aligned with your brand values.
What Happens on April 28?
You're getting a first look at the future of ambassador engagement—and that’s no small thing. This early access is your chance to shape how your community comes to life before anyone else. From testing new features to setting up rooms and content, what you build now sets the tone for launch and beyond.
Don’t forget: on April 28, SocialLadder Gen 3 will go live for all your ambassadors. Everything you’ve prepared during the beta—rooms, posts, and conversations—will be ready for them the moment they log in.
We can’t wait to see the spaces you create, the connections you inspire, and the energy your community brings to Gen 3.
Let’s make it unforgettable. 💬🚀
