SocialLadder Reporting Suite

SocialLadder’s Reporting Suite allows you to view, filter, and download the different pieces of data collected for your Ambassador Community. Through the Reporting Suite, you are able to access information on your Ambassadors’ performance, sales & referrals, rewards, challenge assignments & completions, social insights, payouts, and more. Having access to this information is key in understanding information behind your Ambassador Community and providing useful insights for management such as information on spending, profits and growth. They can provide important detail that can be used to help develop future forecasts, marketing plans, guide budget planning, and improve decision-making.

Different Types of Reports

  1. Interactive Reports

Advanced Analytics reports that allow Admins to drill into data on the screen. Data is not in real time, but the last update time is shown on the reports. Reports using this method are:

  • Ambassadors - Overview

  • Challenges - Overview

  • Conversions - Overview

  • Social Media - Overview

More detailed info on the Advanced Analytics tools here.

2. Transactional Reports

Transactional reports include data that is describing an event such as a referral sale, orders, a newly posted piece of Instagram content, etc. that always has a time dimension, a numerical value, and refers to one or more objects. In these types of reports, every time an instance occurs, a new row appears.

Ex. Sales Details Report - Every time a new sale comes in, it will add a line to the report creating a flat list of transactions.

3. Summary Reports

Summary reports consolidates data from several transactions and presents the results in a condensed form by a period of time or specific grouping. Data is added to existing rows on the report, no new rows are added for new data collected.

Ex. Sales by Week by Market Report - For a given week, you may have 10 or 20 markets listed, and this report will show the number of sales listed for that period of time for each specific market (or group).

4. Detailed Reports

Detailed reports are a drilldown of a summary report displaying data by period of time or specific grouping. Data is added to existing rows on the report, no new rows are added for new data collected.

Ex. Sales by Market Details - All of the underlying sales that are made by each market that total up to data listed in the Summary version of this report.

5. Operational Reports

Operational reports focus on producing data for day-to-day organizational operations including but not limited information on costs, records, resource expenditures, processes, etc. These are the types of reports that are integral to business processes to better understand and manage the work that is to be done day-to-day.

Ex. Payouts - Payments to be Made - This report will show a list of all ambassadors who have earned points from either making a sale/referral or completing challenges that have yet to be paid out for their work. This report helps to identify who still needs to get paid so that you can ensure your ambassadors are rewarded for their work.

Accessing, Filtering, & Exporting Reports

From the Admin Portal, click into the “Reporting” tab. You will be met with the Reporting Dashboard.

The side panel will be where you see a list of dropdowns with all reports. Reports will be categorized via their broader category, like “Ambassadors” or “Challenges” then have a sub list of each report in that category.

In the main window, reports will fall under one of four categories for easier access - My Favorite Reports, My Recommended Reports, Recent Reports, and My Custom Reports. Each will show reports with the name of the report, a timestamp for when it was created, and an icon denoting if it was favorited or not. Favorited reports will be explained below. Recommended Reports are reports that will be recommended by SocialLadder directly as reports that should be viewed or worked with next. Recent Reports will show the 10 most recently viewed reports. Custom Reports will show the reports created by whoever is currently logged into the area. More on custom reports below.

Let's click on the Challenges - Insight Summary report as an example.

Any reports that have a filled heart icon (the icon will fill in after a user clicks on them in the main report expanded) next to the reports in each of these lists indicate a report that has been favorited. Favorited reports will show up in the section below labeled "My Favorite Reports".

From the top right hand corner, you can select the option to filter by different parameters to slice and dice your data. Apply the filter to show this targeted information.

You can also choose to include or exclude any specific columns on the report by clicking into the “Manage Report Columns” view and unchecking any available columns for that report.

Once you’ve filtered and/or excluded any columns from the report display, save your new template that you created by clicking on the “Save” option and rename your new filtered report. This is a custom report, and will now show up in your list of Custom Reports on your dashboard.

After saving, this new filtered view will show on the screen. Click on “Export” to download a .csv file of your data to review your program analytics and share the data with your management team. Note: You are able to access this filtered report moving forward now that it’s saved in your Reporting Suite.
