Getting the most out of Social Snowball

Although Social Snowball is very simple to set up and use, theres a few things you can do to make sure you're getting the most out of your account and building the best affiliate program possible! ๐Ÿ’ช

Important note: It's recommended that you set the affiliate discount code value as greater than or equal to any discount codes offered on your website for newsletter sign ups, SMS opt ins, spin to win wheels, etc. Making the discount code less valuable can result in a drop in tracked affiliate conversions since customers will usually go with the highest discount they can find over using an affiliate's code.

1. Embed a sign up form to your website

Adding a sign up form to your website is a great way to convert non-buying store traffic into affiliates. Social Snowball provides you with a simple, frictionless sign up form that you can seamlessly include in any page of your Shopify store.

We recommend that you build a page around your sign up form that does a good job explaining why people should be interested in joining your affiliate program. Here's an example of a simple landing page we built using Shopifys page builder and Social Snowball's sign up form:

2. Set up your Tremendous integration

Social Snowball's Tremendous integration makes paying your affiliates really, really easy. Once set up, you'll be able to send universal cash payouts with a couple clicks, all from within the Social Snowball dashboard. There are no payment fees at all, and your affiliates can choose where they want to redeem their earnings.

3. Set up your Klaviyo integration.

Using our Klaviyo integration, you can create your own email flows that include custom properties generated by Social Snowball (Such as unique affiliate discount codes). Writing your own email flows gives you the ability to get creative and build out powerful affiliate marketing materials. Some use case ideas for this integration are:

  1. Post purchase email flow. Send your customers their custom discount code and provide them with content that teaches them how to share their code and explains to them how they can make money by referring sales.

  2. Post sign up email flow. Encourage affiliates acquired though the sign up form to go out and promote their code.

  3. Post order arrival email flow. Encourage customers to share their code and post content about your brand right after they receive their order.

  4. One time special offer blast. Send an email blast to your subscriber list offering a special promotion with your affiliate program: higher commission payout rates, a more valuable discount code, or whatever you can come up with!

4. Customize the thank you page feature.

By customizing this feature, you can take this already powerful tool to a new level. Edit the colors to fit your brand, and customize the text to speak directly to your customer base in language they will love. The possibilities with this feature are endless!
