How to successfully connect your Instagram account

Connecting your instagram account and make yourself visible to top brands worldwide.

To connect your account you will need just to take a few steps:

Requirements to successfully connect an Instagram account.

For successfully connecting your account Instagram needs you to have the following:

  1. Your Instagram account must be a Professional account (Creator or Business account).

  2. Your Instagram account must be connected to a Facebook Page.

How to check the type of your Instagram account?

If you are using the App version:

  1. Go to your profile page. If you see the “Professional dashboard” tab than you already have a professional account. Skip to the connect Facebook Page item.

  2. If you don’t see the “Professional dashboard” tab, then click on edit profile.

  3. Choose Switch to Professional account option and click Continue to go through the onboarding steps.

  4. You can choose a category that best describes what you do from the options provided and then click Done.

  5. Select account type as Creator or Business account and then click Next.

  6. You have successfully converted your Instagram account to a professional account. Now you can move to the connect Facebook Page item.

If you are using the Desktop version:

  1. Go to your profile page on Instagram and click on edit profile

  2. Scroll down to the last option on the settings.

    1. If you see Switch to personal account it means you already have a Professional account and you don’t need to do nothing. Skip to the connect Facebook Page item.

    2. If you see Switch to Professional account option, that means your account is a personal type. Choose Switch to Professional account option and choose from Creator or Business account type. Go through the onboarding steps and choose a category that best describes what you do from the options provided and then click Done. You have successfully converted your Instagram account to a professional account. Now you can move to the connect Facebook Page item.

How to link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page?

If you are using the App version:

  1. Go to your Instagram profile on the app.

  2. Click on Edit Profile.

  3. Under the Profile Information / Public Business Information section, select Page.

  4. Here,

    1. If you are asked to Connect or create a Facebook Page, it means that your Instagram account is NOT linked to a Facebook page. Tap Continue and Login to Facebook. Now Choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to or select Create a New Facebook Page. Tap Connect and your Facebook page will be connected to your Instagram account.

    2. If you are asked to Manage Connection, it means that your Instagram account is already linked to a Facebook page.

If you are using the Desktop version:

  1. Go to your Facebook profile page and click on Pages on the left menu.

  2. Create a new page or select in the Pages you manage the desired one and Switch now to it.

  3. Click on the settings in the left menu and then on Linked accounts.

  4. Click connect account to link your Instagram account to this page.
