How does Link Finder work exactly?

How Link Finder scans your Showcase, when it swaps links, and why it can't see private brand deals or rate changes you make after linking.

Link Finder scans your TikTok Shop Showcase and shows you where Soco has same or higher-commission links available. It helps you earn more on every sale while keeping you in full control. No link changes happen without your review and approval.

How it works

Link Finder works in a few steps, and nothing changes without your approval:

  1. Connect your TikTok account and approve Soco to scan and add products to your Showcase.

  2. Link Finder scans all products currently in your Showcase.

  3. Soco checks each product for a same or higher-commission link.

  4. If a matching link is available, Link Finder shows it as an option.

  5. Decide how to update: replace each link manually, or tap Add All to Showcase to update every eligible link at once.

  6. Review every change in the History tab (top left).

Replacing links with "Add All to Showcase"

"Add All to Showcase" gives Soco permission to replace every eligible link with a Soco link that has the same or higher commission. Before you use it, review your Showcase, because Link Finder cannot detect if you have:

  • A special brand agreement

  • A custom commission setup

  • A private deal made outside of TikTok Shop

If there are products you don't want to change, exclude them before using "Add All", or restore their original link afterward in your Showcase. Soco cannot see or verify any external deals, so you are responsible for reviewing your own conditions before bulk replacing.

Commission rules and manual cases

These commission rules always apply, whether you replace links one by one or use "Add All":

  • Soco never replaces a link with a lower commission option.

  • If you already have a higher commission from another source, Link Finder will not overwrite it.

  • If you still prefer a Soco link in that case, add it manually from the Product Marketplace.

  • Link Finder only replaces links that are equal or higher than your current commission.

  • Same-commission Soco links still help with leaderboards, streaks, bonuses, and future platform campaigns.

If a brand raises your rate after you add a link

Link Finder checks commission rates at the moment you add a link. It does not keep re-checking your existing links over time, and the "never replace with a lower link" safeguard runs only when you first add a link.

So if you have a private or direct deal with a brand, and they raise your rate after a Soco link is already in your Showcase, Soco will not see that change. TikTok does not give Soco visibility into the private deals you make with brands. Your Showcase keeps the Soco link at its original rate until you update it yourself.

If you work directly with a brand, re-check those products from time to time. If your direct rate is now higher than the Soco link, restore your direct link in your Showcase.

TAP Links, Shop Ads, and GMV MAX

TAP links and higher-commission links do not affect GMV MAX. Videos using TAP links are still included normally in GMV MAX campaigns.

Older confusion came from ad campaigns where TAP links sometimes had missing Shop Ad Commission. Today:

  • Shop Ad Commission is available on TAP links.

  • Brands control this setting on their side.

  • Soco cannot turn this setting on or off.

If a TAP link shows low or missing Shop Ad Commission, contact the brand, because they control and configure this feature.

History and transparency

The History tab keeps a record of every change Link Finder makes:

  • Which links were changed

  • When they were changed

  • Which products were affected

This gives you full transparency. No changes ever happen without your approval.

Support

If you have a question about a specific link or want help understanding a commission difference, just let us know and we'll help you out.

In short

Link Finder only ever offers you same or higher-commission links, and it never changes anything without your approval. It checks rates when you add a link, not continuously, and it cannot see private deals you make with brands. So if you have a special deal on a product, exclude it before using "Add All", and re-check it yourself if a brand raises your rate later.
