Deleting Your Account & Data

We're sorry to see you go, but we respect your choice. Here's how to request account and data deletion.

How to request deletion

Send an email to team@trysoffit.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your Soffit account. We'll verify your identity and process the request.

What gets deleted

When we delete your account, we remove all of the following:

  • Your user profile and login credentials

  • All property claims and property data

  • Photos you've taken (exterior, interior, system, and tune-up photos)

  • Annual checkup and tune-up history

  • Your Soffit Home Report and scoring data

  • Insurance connection details

  • Notification preferences and history

  • Any AI analysis results associated with your photos

What happens to shared data?

If your property was connected to an insurance partner, we notify the partner that your data is no longer available. We do not retain any data on your behalf after deletion is complete.

How long does it take?

We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days. You'll receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been fully removed.

Can I undo it?

No. Account deletion is permanent. Once processed, your data cannot be recovered. If you'd like to use Soffit again in the future, you'd need to create a new account and start fresh — including a new annual checkup and property claim.

Just want to take a break?

If you're not sure about deleting everything, you can simply stop using the app. Your account will stay as-is. You won't receive push notifications if you disable them in your phone's settings, and you can always pick back up where you left off.
