How to complete assignments

Assignments in Solidroad are interactive training tasks powered by AI simulations — designed to help you learn by doing. This guide will show you how to find, start, and complete your assignments to build your skills, earn certificates, and easily track your progress. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Login and access your assignments

Log in to your Solidroad account and go to the Home tab. This is where you’ll find all your assigned simulations.

💡 What you should know about assignments?

  • Assignments - The AI will act as your customer based on scenarios your administrators or trainers created.

  • Each assignment may vary depending on the following:

    • Due dates

    • Attempt limits

    • Minimum passing scores

    • Certificate availability

    • Assigned channel (Phone, Email, Chat, or Video)

    • Instructions provided

  • Completed or expired assignments can no longer be accessed, but you can still view your results in the My Performance tab.

Step 2: Start your assignment

Click on the in-progress assignment you have and start the simulation. Please carefully read and note the instructions and details of your simulation before clicking on the start button.

Simulation examples by channel:

  1. Chat Simulation: The AI customer will initiate the conversation, and their message will appear on the left side of the chat box. Type your reply in the input box below, then click ‘Send’ — your response will appear on the right side.

Once you’re done, click ‘End Simulation’, then hit ‘Finish’ to save your assignment.

You’ll be redirected to your results page and certificate (if applicable).

2. Email simulations:

The AI customer initiates the email thread. Click ‘Reply’, type your response, and click the Send icon to submit your message. Once finished, click ‘End Simulation’ to complete your task and view the results.

  1. Phone simulation:

Ensure your microphone and speaker are working correctly (using a headset is recommended), then review the scenario and instructions carefully. Complete the simulation, and once you're done, click ‘End Simulation’ to save your work and view your results.

  1. Video simulation:

A microphone, speaker or headset, and webcam are required for this simulation. You’ll see yourself on the screen, with access to mute and screen-sharing options. Once finished, click ‘End Simulation’ to save your work and review your feedback.

After simulation: Understanding your feedback page

Each simulation provides a detailed feedback page to help you learn and improve:

  1. Chat simulation feedback page:

The feedback page is divided into two sections: on the left side, you’ll see your score, rating, example spiels, and improvement tips. On the right side, you’ll find your handling time, first response time, average response time, CSAT, and the entire chat thread for review.

  1. Email simulation feedback page:

The layout is similar to the chat feedback, including your score, rating, suggestions, and the email conversation thread.

  1. Phone simulation feedback page:

The feedback page is divided into two sections: on the left side, you’ll find your score, rating, and suggestions for improvement. You’ll see your handling time, talk ratio, most extended monologue, call recording, speaker breakdown, and the conversation transcript for a detailed review on the right side.

  1. Video simulation feedback page:

The layout is the same as the phone simulation feedback page. However, instead of an audio recording, it will display the actual video recording and screen share (if used during the simulation).

Definitions of Terms:

Assignment – A training task powered by an AI simulation. It mimics real-life scenarios to help you practice and apply your skills.

Simulation – An interactive experience where AI acts as a customer based on a scenario created by your trainer or admin.

Home Tab – Your main dashboard where all assigned simulations (assignments) are listed.

In Progress Assignment – A simulation that is currently active and ready for you to start or continue.

My Performance Tab – The section where you can view your scores, progress, and completed simulation results.

Channels – The mode of communication used in a simulation. This can be Chat, Email, Phone, or Video.

Feedback Page – A detailed summary of your simulation results, including scores, ratings, suggestions, and performance metrics.
