If you earn schedular payment income you might have seen some websites stating that withholding tax (WT) needs to be added to your invoices.

However, this is incorrect and adding the withholding tax to your invoices is not correct procedure and is an incorrect use of an invoice.

You don't need to worry about the withholding tax when creating an invoice. You just create the invoice for the full amount and your employer will work out the withholding tax amount when they do payroll.

Also, adding your schedular payment income to Solo is easy. Simply connect your IRD account on the 'IRD Feed' page. This will sync your schedular payment income into Solo (and any withholding tax that's been paid) and automatically include it in Solo's calculations. You don't need to categorise any transactions to add your schedular payment income to Solo.
